Well, if you read this:
http://www.gamesxtreme.net/pc/game/star ... 2234.shtml

--Read the second to last question carefully. She said "some old faves" are returning. NOT ALL old levels.

--Now read the statement about bot commands. They are basically wound down to "follow me." Boo. But, in hopes, that means that the A.I. is obviously a lot better...Or they wouldn't have done that...

--Now read the paragraph above that. Get down to the last part. "Sadly, this means we have to exercise more patience than we want and save up some truly incredible game ideas for the next go-around." Frick. Don't tell me this one will be limited and they are saving it up for Battlefront III. I mean, I can understand they can't do everything they want...But, gee, are they about to work on another one?? I would like a Battlefront III, but I was hoping II would have more than they have already stated. Most likely, if they were to make a III, they would add ragdoll physics, lots of characters, tons of battlefronts, vehicles, and so forth. Now, I would like all of the people out there know why ragdoll physics isn't possible at the moment for this game:
To start off, everyone knows that there are a lot of skeletons and joints, etc. on the battlefront. Therefore, no processor can handle all those calculations if each skeleton was "assigned" ragdoll physics. But hope arises! This December, a PhysX processor is to be released. It is hyped to handle all those calculations easily, taking the load off the CPU. Well, they had to release Battlefront II this November, before it was released, so they couldn't use the technology this time around, because no one will have it, obviously (and for those of you that are wondering, Quake IV is suppossed to use it). But next time, when all hardcore geeks have a PhysX processor, they might put ragdoll physics in. The only problem I can see is online mode and the people that don't buy a PhysX processor. It would be nearly impossible to transfer all the calculations online at this point. And most people won't have the PhysX, so that would lower sales. --And this is why they can't incorporate ragdoll physics. The only solution at this point is better scripting and predefined "ragdoll" animations. The current animations are a bit, erm....well, they don't look right.

--I would like to point out two other statements. She said "AT LEAST one new unit for each faction." Second, she said "Jedi and other Star Wars heavy hitters for heroes." I know Sith aren't Jedi, but I'm willing to bet bounty hunters are in there, or something...

By definition, bounty hunters are paid for each killed person. Imagine the amount of money they could make after a battle ! So, I'm not sure there will be head hunters in SWBF II... :|

How do you people know these things? Are you talking a rumor, or are you serious? No info on the PSP version has been released as of yet...

Ok, new box art.

http://store.lucasarts.com/kernel/image ... mg1;key2=-

It is heavily rumored that Felucia is a battlefront, because Aayla Secura is a hero.

In fact, look at the Jedi to the side. Aayla Secura as a hero...So don't give up hope on bounty hunters just yet...And I bet Ki-Adi-Mundi is a hero as well, which would most likely confirm Mygeeto. If that is so, then Plo Koon might as well be a hero, which would allow for Cato Neimoidia. I really think they should include that. It was a huge Clone Wars battlefront.

And, look at the fighters in space. I don't know all the technical names, but I don't think that fighter that looks similar to a tri-fighter has been mentioned yet. And take a look at the ship closest to the bottom, located on the left side of the box.

Sorry for triple posting, but the bothan spy has been confirmed. He looks sweet, as does Yoda.

Edit: And, are those new costumes for the rebels? Their faces look a little different too. Might just be me though. But, man! Did you see that gun that rebel was blasting? The one where the green lasers shot. It's a shotgun. Ga. And the detail on everything is awesome.

The only complaint I have is...that doesn't look like Dagobah. I mean, a lot of it looks like land in a muggy atmosphere with water puddles. Luke's X-Wing looked like it was in a water puddle. In the movie, it was deep in *a swamp* where you couldn't see under the water.. That level does not look swampy and you can see smack dab down into the water, clear as crystal. It doesn't have the thick fog that there was in the movies, nor the masses of trees. And I hope I'm wrong on this. Another thing that would be cool is that they add that swamp monster that was in the swamp. Ooh, that would be cool.

New screens of Xbox and PC at LucasArts. A good look at the prime Geonosian hangar (or is that the arena?) and a tri-fighter above Coruscant.

Edit: Look at the lightning coming over the hill behind the Bothan.

As there will be a Felucia map, maybe Commander Bly shall appear... Same thing for Mygeeto and Commander Neyo... :?

Maybe...I bet Commander Cody will definately be making an appearence.

Anyway...I'm depressed. The new trailers for BF2 show off footage of Kashyyyk, Yavin IV, and Jabba's Palace. Nothing looks just outstanding to me. First off, Jabba's Palace is the same thing we already have (the one we got with patch version 1.1). Nothing looked added or upgraded in the least bit, except the color of the Rancor which in my opinion looks worse. Second, Yavin IV looks exactly the same to me! I didn't see anything different. What the mess?! Third. Kashyyyk...It looks o.k. but....all fighting in done on that beach. In the movie, the droid forces came from some island out across the water. In this game, they are stationed on the other side of the beach...And the beach isn't THAT big. Crud. How disappointing. Reminds me of the old Kashyyyk map...Plus, the level just doesn't show off what Kashyyyk really looks like. There is no abundance of treehouses, vines, trees, etc. in the level.

Maybe all those maps will be upgraded ?... :?
Do not forget SWBF II has not been released yet. Consequently, Pandemic has still enough time to improve some stuffs...

bound to have upped it slightly (not much) my old nvidia geforce (on the requirements list) worked, just not very well, so they may take away some of the old supported chipsets.. i'm guessing that the rest'll stay the same.

Well...Yes, they may have time to improve upon their work, Leviathan, but they are not going to change the basic look. And that is it. Yavin IV looked exactly the same. Jabba's Palace looked exactly the same. It's a fact. I am not counting on them changing anything major after they've released these "mini movies" of each planet. But we will just have to wait and see.

Have to agree with Hakk, they won't improve on the basic look, they decided that that's what jabbas looked like in SWBF1 so they can only expand slightly, not changed the initial look of it. They are also limited as they have to remain faithful to the films. The big difference will be the changes in game play for these, and possibly some new eye candy. I'm of the opinion that the new planets/maps are the new game and that the updated SWBF1 maps (included with SWBF2) are just a bonus and so I'm not expecting anything too great in terms of visual changes, only gameplay. Either way I'll be happy :)
