I've run multiple searches and gone through promising faq topics, gone to the wiki and elsewhere. If any does know where the topic is that Mav mentions, I'd be very grateful. I want to learn how to do this to clean up my map; it has so many eras listed, the little box can't hold them all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well do you want those eras to be in your map? I take it you do not. Post your addme, please.

I'm sorry, I should've been more clear. If they aren't detected, I don't want them to be in my map. For example, when the BFX folder isn't in my addon folder, I don't want the BFX eras listed. I do NOT want to remove any eras permanently, I just don't want them to be select able is a player isn't compatible with them.

I don't think it's in the FAQ. I found it by realizing I had read about it before, remembering which map it was talking about, finding out the author of the map, and searching every single post by that person in the Modding section.
