Polygons?

how can i add polygons

? i havent found anything about that yet...
im trying to make my first addon mesh... but when i click merge it says "please select at least 2 polygons".
well, it isnt any problems with exporting (yet,since i havent tryed), i have problems merging two boxes together...

Yo dawg, I heard you like modelling so we put a polygon on a polygon so you could model while you model!
I thought more like "How is palygon formed?"

Now exactly, what do you mean? Do you want to create 3D geometry, like cubes and cylinders? Or do you want to add
more polygons to a primitive mesh?
I am not sure if the staff will lock this topic and just direct you to the FAQ, but if they do, don't hesitate to PM me. I wouldn't mind being a helping hand, because I know how @#% tough it is in the beginning.

Use the add polygon tool. N is the short cut.
That is if you are adding polygons to an open end kind of thing.
If you want to subdivide (split an existing polygon) that is something else.
Edit: Won't lock the topic but I do encourage you to read the help files that came with XSI they are very informative.

Learn how to use the program before trying to export things into a game engine, you're trying to learn how to run before you can even stand up.
