Can't auto-login to forums

This has been bugging me for some time. Although I hit the "Log me on automatically each visit" checkbox when I log in, it doesn't happen and I have to manually log in each time. I know that it's not a cookie problem because my browser is set to accept all cookies and I have no trouble with other forums. I am running an iMac with Mac OS 10.4.9 using the Safari web browser.
To further complicate things:
-If I quit my browser and open it again, more often then not, I don't have to log into Gametoast. But if I restart my computer and then try, more often than not, I do.
-If I am on the internet for a long time with a window open for Gametoast, I will sometimes be logged out anyway.
I realize that part of my problems is that I don't really have any concrete information to provide. But if anybody can help me out, I'd be obliged.

Do you visit it on two different computers? As soon as I log in to Gametoast on another computer it will sign me off Gametoast on my laptop...

I use IE.
And I think I have "Delete Temporary Internet Files when IE is exited" checked.
Would that make a difference?

'Cuz I think that it's only cookies that keep you signed in.

I only log on to Gametoast on one computer and, as noted, I use Safari. Gametoast is the only site that I can't auto login on, so I believe that the problem is with Gametoast and not with my browser.

It could be with both, could it not? Some scripts don't work with some browsers. But then, I'm using IE and Z13 is using Firefox...

the site code is old and i have it setup now so that all users must login, its a security setting , sorry if its annoying.

Meh. It takes only a couple of seconds to log in. I can live with that.

Lol I'm fine with having to log in, but it gets annoying to go to a fourm, only to notice that you are not logged in, then having to find the fourm all over again. Heh.
