WGO vs SotG Community Gathering WIP topic

Ok, so for the past few weeks I've been working on my newest project. Don't get me wrong, this is not about WGO attacking SotG or vice versa. It is about these 2 communities having fun playing on this super fun conquest + hero assault map. But others are more then welcome to play, it's for everyone.

I'll get right on to explaining why this mod map is so cool.

Many people have probably seen the giant Golem from Dann Boeing's project Rhen Var Temple. This golem was initially created by me. I have not included it in my map, but I do have a Giant vs Tiny mode. This will feature giant wampas, wookies, etc, vs smaller versions of jedi, such as vader.

Then there are 2 conquest modes, CW and GCW. Both of these feature WGO and SotG incarnations. SotG plays the role of CIS and Rebels. WGO has empire and republic.

The field of battle itself has 8 cps so far, and is REALLY big, but features many different situations of combat, such as trench warfare. I have also increased the amount of ai to compensate for largeness of field.

Possible vehicles may be added.

And I'm now beginning work on Hero Assault. Some major revamps that will occur in fighting style, is that I am using my vast knowledge of .combo work to really make jedi fighting fun. To remove block spamming, I took out block entirely. Now attacks will deflect, like real saber slashes do. Also, I'm making custom combos for every jedi.

And yes that fett is fighting in mid-air. One of my newest and favourite things I've discovered is the ability to infact make it so you can attack while flying. If you touch the ground while attacking, you bounce back up, and you can also hit block button to return to ground via jump attack.

Looks good, I'll be playing this online because of the Heroes and Villians.
Oh, and how many Jedi get force pull so I know who to stay away from.

BTW, why isn't SotG No Force back online yet because I thought they were updating it.

Offtopic: Though I am an SotG admin, I have no control over the server problems, we have been trying to switch to a different provider and even they screwed it up.


Ontopic:

I will be making new force powers. Don't worry about such trivial things such as Pull being in it. Hehehe..

Seriusly, looks fun. Big vs. Tiny is something I gotta check out. Can you tell us which players are going to be in it?

Also, for the record, I believe I am one of the greatest combo editors now. Why?
Cause I have finally discovered the secret to how Kit fisto leaps in the air during his combo attacks. And I will be making some super sweet combos for this map.

Actually, to be honest, I was just guessing. I haven't done .combo work in a while. I'm surprised you say that changing the posture to "Jet" works, since the jet pose is only a little bit off the ground. But the point was that if you discover something, make sure you let other people know how to do it. It's how the community flourishes. :)

That's the thing. No one has tried Jet posture, but Ive been experimenting with those postures. It is how I did the Fett flying jedi. The posture Jet sends you up as high as your regular jump. It's pretty useful.

Instead, I released a beta with the heros mode as is, conquest GCW nearly complete and CW conquest 30% done.

Both ctf modes are buggy, gcw ctf is Tiny vs Giants but no ai spawn and theres no flag.

Im aware of most if not all bugs and these will be fixed by final version. So download and play!

This time, I improved the map layout some, changed textures, added 2 cps to conquest, did some editlocalize.bat, and changed some heros for some new ones. I hadto remove some due to errors making them crash.

Good news and bad news.

The bad news is, I am removing giant vs tiny, as well as CW ctf.

They aren't going to work out.

They are quite clearly vehicles, and they are fun as heck. I will be making more tiny vehicles as the demand permits it.
