Don't mean to be "junior moderator" here, but isn't cheating against the rules??

If you can follow directions, then this should help:

And Nova, this kind of cheating isn't against the rules.

That's a long list. I never knew half of these existed..

I'm not trying to cheat at the game. There is a console and you can make certain things spawn. I had no intention of actual cheating (e.g being invincible, killing everyone on the map)

That wouldn't matter - the "cheating" we frown upon is glitching or cheating (i.e. giving oneself an unfair advantage) with other players. Using consoles and whatnot (like Battlefront 2's Fake Console) isn't a crime.

No no no no, sorry. I didn't fully explain myself. I meant just playing by myself and watching the AI have a massive war. I meant to give myself no unfair advantage with HUMAN players. Delete this topic if you don't see my explanation fit enough to be reconcilable. Just please don't ban me. I love it here please?
I have read the rules and understand that there is no cheating in games. Sorry if I accidently seemed to break those rules. I do not encourage glitching or cheating on ANY occasion. I just don't do it. What's the fun of cheating anyway? It would be too easy.

Take it easy there, killer. I knew where you were coming from; I was agreeing with you and just clarifying the point for Nova Hawk. No worries.

Phew, that's a load off of my chest. Thank you!

And BTW I'm saying that the console won't work for me period. All I can do is bring it up and type stuff in but none of the commands work. And yes I have typed in helpusobi 1 with a backslash. In response it says "unknown cmd 'helpus'"

no backslash.

So it's just "helpusobi 1" (without quotes)?
*EDIT* Well, it didn't work. I typed in helpusobi 1 exactly then typed in a command and it said "cheats not enabled on this server." What's up with that
P.S It means CONSOLE commands.

Did you hit the Enter key after typing in helpusobi 1?

And it still isn't working? Strange, if you are sure you are doing everything correctly and the cheats still don't work then there is no other way we can help you. My conclusion is maybe there is something wrong with your copy of the game.

I played JK2 a while back, and it seems to me that you're getting something wrong somewhere. What commands are you trying to use, and how are you trying to use them?

I've tried this before in JK3, attempting to spawn things on multiplayer maps, and I got the same message. Sounds like that's his problem.

If you're playing multiplayer, you have to enable cheats a bit differently.
/devmap MapNameHere
Type that into the console and then try it.

Jus tto clarify you can't actually get on a sever and randomly enter cheats. To use cheats on a sever you have to create it yourself or join a sever with cheats specifically enabled.
