Now, for those of you who have Naboo Water crashes, I have taken the time (about 30 seconds) to get rid of the water to create a non-water patch. It basically means you won't have water but it's better than not playing the map at all, I guess. If you don't have Naboo water crashes, then don't download it. The download link is: Here!
What to do:
Extract BHW.lvl to LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon\BHW\_LVL_PC\BHW. If it still doesn't run properly then post on the topic, please. Hopefully this helps .

Bothawui 1.0
By Sampip
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, some of you on Gametoast might have seen the work in progress thread for Bothawui and will know that a lot of effort went into making this map.
It's basically a city with a basic layout and a lot of gameplay options. There are many paths to take through the city to get to the various command posts,
and this may take a bit of knowing before you can work your way around the city. I'm afraid there currently isn't a minimap (there will be!!!) but if you follow
the AI you should see where you can - and can't go.
Installation:
Extract the folder BHW into LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon. Very easy !
Game Modes:
CW Conquest
GCW Conquest
Hero Assault For 1.1:
Hunt
2 Flag CTF
Sides for Clone Wars are modded but the GCW remains untouched for now.
Now, onto credits:
Rends - Coruscant Assets
Deviss-Rex - Various Clone Kitbashes I used in the map
Teancum, Darth Spiderpig, Blade117, lesovikk1, DarthD.U.C.K, Master_Ben, Nova Hawk and Null 1138 for Beta-testing
Pandemic - Mod Tools
LucasArts - Obviously
DarthD.U.C.K - Models of Boxes and Benches
DarthD.U.C.K - civilian anims
NeoMarz/Mars Marshall - DC-17 Holsters
So, thats just about it for Bothawui. I plan on releasing a 1.1 final in the future sometime which will contain:
Hunt Mode with Bothans
GCW Modded
2 Flag CTF
Perfected Detail
Missing Sounds Added.
Licensing:
This Mod is not a product of LucasArts but it is also not to be stolen off me, or distributed anywhere else without my permission. You can contact me on Gametoast: PM sampip

So after all those complications,

Alaris Prime FINAL -- by sampip
_____________________________
You may be wondering why I released two maps so quickly. Bothawui was made after Alaris Prime but I never got around to releasing
Prime because it had some annoying side issues. Now that I've, fixed them, it's ready for release, and this, I think is final.
Anyway, theres a slight bug which I think happens on all modes, which is, always play this map first, you can't play it after playing another.
For some odd reason it crashes unless you play it first for me, might not for you if you're lucky. SO yeah, a bit unstable just keep in mind to play it first.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
EXtract the Folder ASP and all its contents into LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon.
FEATURES:
Forest Map
Lots of Foliage
Ruins
Custom CW Sides
Custom Hunt -- Trandoshans v Clones
Bugs:
Crashing (which I have already explained)
Lag - It doesn't lag for me but if it does for you turn all your settings to low, especially view distance and water. Shouldn't be a problem though.
Floating Objects?? -- Haven't seen any but there probably are a few.
Anyway, now onto credits:
Vyse - Underhand ChainGun model
All the people who Beta-tested (can't remember since it was so long ago)
Deviss-Rex - Clone Engineer Model & Cape.
Gametoast
Pandemic
LucasArts
???? - Trandoshan Sides - Sorry about this one, there are lots of models and skins, I forgot which one I used.
Licensing:
This mod was not made by LucasArts but it is not to be stolen or distributed anywhere else WITHOUT my permission. You can contact me at Gametoast: PM sampip
That's about it, enjoy!!!
--sampip
Anyway, that IS it for today, I think, if anyone could tell me in paticular who made the trandoshan sides I used in hunt mode, that would be great.

Well done! This maps creativity is excellent. Even without water I like it, I just tell myself that Bothawui is having a drought to keep the realism alive.
EDIT: I can't read what you wrote in green in the OP, it's to dark.
For those of you who didn't see the W.I.P topic last summer, here are some screen shots: See first post - don't want to clutter up the topic

From the first post. I am really happy about finally managing to release this, hope you guys like it too. If you get lag (like most of my maps seem to mysteriously have), read the readme
Link to the old W.I.P: http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... aris+prime
Alaris Prime is also great ! Lucky day!. Well both of your maps are great sampip, althought Bothawui is a maze and it has some bugs.
Overall: Creativity:10( ) Modding: 8(Bothawui: when I instaled the patch, the water vanished! was that supose to happen?) Skining: 9(really creative at the republic sides, not so much at Alaris Prime) Bugs: 3( The water, some buildings, missing sounds)
Off topic(PS: First time I do my overall! Also, next map if you need Beta testers I'm avaible to test your awesome maps!)Off topic
Thanks a lot, Sampip! I sure loved playing both these maps. Will download! Any chance of us seeing the second Alaris Prime map being released anytime soon or at least an update for it?

@ nova hawk: I'm afraid I very much doubt it, It looked the part but the gameplay was more like gameslay, it just didn't work on the docks. i may get the chance to release it if I find a way to substantionally
Improve gameplay. Sorry about that
EDIT: To moderators at SWBF filefront: For some reason when submitting my map there, it now says there are two of both maps being approved. You only need to approve one of each. Dunno why it did that...?
EDIT II:
Fiodis (but from the WIP) wrote:Wow, very nice. I've been silently following this with increasing interest.

You probably hit "submit" twice? I dunno, there were two copies.
In any case, in the future, please don't use the "server-to-server" upload for anything that's not an exceptionally large file (>250MB) if possible, because it takes more work for us, and not every staff member knows how to manage those kind of uploads.
I know, I'm not sure what happened, sorry about that. Sorry about giving you the server to server upload, starwarsbattlefront filefront downloads has become paticularly faulty on my computer recently and I am unable to upload most large files to it, which is why I gave you the link. I'll try and get this sorted out for the future.
sampip wrote:...and I am unable to upload most large files to it, which is why I gave you the link.
If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, no hard feelings. If the option is viable, though, we prefer the regular upload. If not, it will still get uploaded.
after finally playing bothawui i must say i hoped for some more imrpovements
-there are still no shadows (PLEASEPLEASE activate them!!!)
-the box and benchcolors dont really fit the environment colors
-in most places you can still run stright out of the map/fighting area...
-... while there is an invisible wall that goes right through a enterable house and the big square (and there is a gap between it and the next left building if you look from the rebels pc on the platform)
-the speeders have no sounds
-there are no bothans running around in gcw
about the credits:
-the DC-17-holsers on the clones were made by Neomarz/Mars Marshall
