if it's a new mode, wouldn't it conflict with the conversion packs new modes?
EDIT: @Linus, just remembered, i started modelling that gun a while ago, but never finished it, do you want me to send you what i've done, and you can finish it? here's a pic. PM me if you want it.

First: All these new stuff is great and very exiciting, but it somehow lacks context. For a good map, you need to have everything linked to some point, to create an atmosphere of unity. But what's not done yet, can be done in the future.
Second: That's dutch what they're speaking. I think The_Emperor said he'd see something like this (in the vid) every day, while MS said...eeh, too complicated for someone who only speaks german (instead of having learned dutch)

the bugs you mentioned on the lightsaber will always be there, the games tolerance welds the vertices together and makes the model look all messed up, you wont be able to do anything about it, thats why i always thought weapons were such a waste of time to make.

Actually, there is a way to fix it, but it uses up a heck of a lot of polys. It's what I usually have to do for my weapon models, otherwise polygons just disappear. What you do is go to Poly Mesh (down the bottom-left) and then (with all polygons selected, or just the areas where the polys are missing) click on triangulate. Works everytime for me, but like I said it can almost double the amount of polygons used.

The game triangulates it for you anyway, but doing it in xsi usually solves alot of those problems, so the game probably does it differently.

It looks really good. But my question is for the moviemod not the map. What kind of equipment are you going to use for the movie? Like i mean what program are you going to use to take the video, how are you going to record voices, etc.

I got a nice collection of SW sounds, so I would be able to add laser etc. (only thing missing is the Stormtrooper helmet "clicks"), and we'll prolly use Fraps to record it. I'm gonna cut it together with Deathrow and Linus.

MasterSkywalker do not use fraps. Well unless you have the full version. If you dont go download Gamecam its pretty easy and its free.

Or make it a weapon of its own. With some changes to the model, it could be a decent weapon in case someone needs a really weird weapon for the "Nerd Jedi" or "THC-Jedi" class.
