Since I don't have the money to buy XSI, is there a way to cheat the trial period deadline? It just stopped working now that my time is up.

What version are you using...? I've never heard of XSI trial version running out. I ran it for well over half a year and experienced no problems of that kind. (I run modtool 6 btw)

modtool 6 is a time unlimited, power limited "demo" and the 30 day trial is a time limited, power unlimited trial. at least as far as i know.

There probably is, but that isn't something that should be discussed here. You should go get one of the free, non-trial versions of XSI instead (such as the one mentioned above by kinetosimpetus).

I searched, and I couldn't find it. 90% of my results were irrelevent.

Did your search include the uppermost sticky in this forum? Because it is quite relevant:

Scratch that, I'm going to re-install it every month.

I re-installed it from there, and it still doesn't work. I use version 5.11.

You are missing the point. Use the modtool. It's just as functional, it just has limited export capabilities. The demo is just that, a demo. You're not supposed to be able to use it in perpetuity.

Which one do you mean, there are four different versions.

The same one that's in the title of the topic, at the very top of the page, in huge bold letters. I would say you can't miss it, but...

And I refused to download that version because it requires me to give away personal information before downloading. Since that's the only way I can get it, I'm just going to give up modelling. Let's lock this thread and pretend it never existed.

It might have helped to mention that you had some kind of prerequisites in the first post. In any case, you can always find a different mirror of it or look even further down in the same post and download the older version of the modtool:

...but really, just try a little harder to look next time.

actually its right above this post many times. softimage does nothing with the information that you enter, its just a survey type thing for them to find out who downloads their software.
