Incredible, thats all i had to say when i saw the trailer for one of the best upcoming games for PC, SPORE.
You build your own species, watch it evolve (you shape its evolution and development) throughout history as it struggles to survive change and other species. As your species builds societies and grows you will eventually have the chance to earn a spaceship and explore the galaxy, which is HUGE and looks exactly as cool as it sounds. As you explore the galaxy you will find other species and civilizations which you can interact or wage war against. Before you write this off as a "not your kind of game" do yourself a favor and watch the extensive preview video located on the link below, granted its not due to be realeased until 2007 its already on my wishlist.
SPORE Videos, make sure to check out the fourth one

Thats really amazing.
Things like this are opening up the next generation of games. Where the player makes the decision, and the engine responds.
Sooner or later...just give it a few years. I bet by the time im 20 things like this will be commonplace and ancient. I really cant wait.

You all should watch the "A (Different) E3 Video" found at the bottom of the aforementioned wikipedia webpage. Robin Williams is making an animal. Its pretty funny.
Anyhow thanks for the links Leviathan. And well EA has once again secured a hefty 50 bucks from my wallet. Cause im buying this game.

I am really excited about this one. This is what I will be doing with
all my free time. I have been trying to find as much info as I can about it, and it seems like every time you think of something it wont have, they put it in. If you havent found it yet, I would recommend watching this video,
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 66&q=Spore if you want to know a lot about the game. It is long and has not to good qaulity, but it really goes in depth and explains everything from bactieria to UFOs. And here is a page put together by some fans that provides most of the info we know about the game,

Off-topic : Sniper_eye, it surprisingly seems that the aimed
Electronic Arts® Product has been associated to a
large Amount of Contradictory Informations, which can be equally applied towards the Release Date of
Spore, as stated by the fact that
both this GameSpy© Article and
that one refer to Diverging Datas related to this same Chronological Element, which means that the
Official one is still too much "
Dynamic" to be taken into account...

I've been looking for every possible update on this game for months now! All bow to ruler of (non-Star Wars) gaming, Will Wright!

OK so I didnt want to make a new topic with this one still out there but I just wanted to put out the updated video that shows alot more than the E3 demo. This one shows Space mode, civ mode, tribe mode, creature mode and pretty much everything except the single cell mode. Its like 15 minutes long and its very cool. if youre interested in Spore check this video out.
