Nope, that's the processor overheating.

I'm guessing you have an Award BIOS, here's a better beep code chart for it:

So it could be memory error then...or the CPU one...but Im guessing its the memory one.

Only way to check is to open up the case, remove the memory and re-seat it. Boot it up and see what you get after awhile. If you get errors, try removing one stick. If you still do, switch the memory sticks. If you still do then it's an overheated chip.

But I'm betting 100 bucks it's an overheated chip. I've worked on many eMachines with that issue.

For me it was about 90% tinkering and 10% college.

Ive been hearing some clickings like a belt is loose. I think it may have just been the contraption on top of the hard drive bumping against the wall from vibrations, but Ill have to keep waiting and see.

make sure it isn't the actual hard drive, i once had a hard drive that began to click, then the copper wire tore my drive apart, as it was not aligned right

Also, Im having my mom bring spare discs from her office to move gigabytes of junk onto. I only have 215 MB left on my Local Disc C: drive. Would that help any?

I doubt it would stop any hardware problems, but it's probably a good idea to back up, as it doesn't sound like your comp is too long for this world.

So that being the case...
What are 'all peripheral device cables'? In an instruction Im looking at it tells me to disconnect the power cord and modem, network, and all peripheral device cables. Are they just telling me to unplug everything hooked to the computer?

Other than necessary things like keyboard and mouse, and maybe not even the mouse, yeah.

So unplug everything on the back of the hard drive then?
