If you hate snipers so much, then just don't include them in the map.
But I can't help but get the feeling that you hate them so because sniping is prevalent online on Kamino. So much sniping on Kamino that the team with the most snipers usually wins.(It also helps if th CIS spawn glitch happens...) But keep in mind that this map will almost always be played off-line, and the AI aren't the best camping snipers. With that in mind giving the players that prefer sniping, such as myself, will make them happier.
Either way, I think it's easier to just omit the sniper class than to make it useless.

He isn't making it useless, he is making it more difficult to play as the sniper (although actually killing the experience of being a sniper in the process but that is off-topic and I won't go further into it).

I think playing as a sniper in said environment is more enjoyable. Thank you. Please end the snipers discussion.
Anyhow, skins are still coming along, and I added some more cover to the map and fixed a couple AI bugs. I have yet to place a single hintnode, though.

Obviously not done yet.
That looks very nice.
Lol, I suggest you should add the phase III dark trooper made by +123, he's so overpowered but will fit well.
Nice work

See the map and clones in action! Only stuff left to do for clones is skin the Jet Trooper and give Arial Trooper an actual jetpack.
I'll be modding CIS next. They will get the Rush Droid. It will have a darktrooper-like jump ability, but it won't go as high or for as long, but will go very fast. It will also run much faster than the average droid. I plan to have it equipped with Detpacks, Flamethrower, and Commando Pistol. I don't know what model it'll use, but the color will overall be saturated brown.

looking very nice!

the lighting is very good and it really looks like a city now, everything is very well placed.
i can say however that some of the parts of the map look a bit wide, and maybe you could put in some crates or other cover to fill the gaps. it still looks like naboo (obviously), but you could try reskinning the buildings to give it a different feel, i don't know, it's your map, do what you like but you could consider

.
oh and change the sky!

I have every intention to do some reskinning, and I'm not quite done adding planters and other miscellaneous cover. Also, the sky has been changed since after that video was taken.

You know, there already is a stock EP2 model with a jetpack on, so you don't need to hex one.
It's rep_inf_jettrooper.msh.

Rush droid is in-game now.

Todo: Make it walk more slowly to put more emphasis on its jetpack, and give it a health/ammo dispenser to increase its effectiveness as a hit-and-run unit

Cool, but dude you seriously need to get the 1.3 patch cuz they update the skins and weapons and make them a whole lot cooler.

He does have the unofficial 1.3 patch and he is using edited stock sides from the assets for this map.

This video shows the finished Rush Droid:
http://www.xfire.com/video/189e90/
After the video was taken, I have finished the Arial Trooper.
To do:
change republic shotgun model
test Arial Trooper a bit more than I have
NOTE: the new units will not be in CTF mode since their entire purpose is to get anywhere you want at maximum speed. Thus, since the AI is too dumb to use them intuitively as the human player, CTF would be outrageously easy with the units. It is a possiblity, however, that they will still have custum units that differ from the ones in conquest.
GCW era units:
Imp get the Stealth Trooper. It will have stealth, a sniper rifle, a commando pistol, a recon droid, and a detpack. It will not have a jetpack, though. Instead, its mobility will be due to the combination of stealth and an impressive sprinting speed.
Rebels will get the Rebel Charger. It'll have a decent jetpack, but its main advantage will be its arsenal. It will have a shotgun for close range, a sniper rifle for long range, health&ammo dispenser, and 1 mine.
Musings for CTF units:
Rep: Demolition Trooper (Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, Grenades, H&A Dispenser)
CIS: Char Droid (Blaster Rifle, EMP Launcher, Neurotoxin, Wrist Rocket, mediocre jetpack abilities)
Imp: Blast Trooper (Shotgun, Flamethrower, Mines, Detpack)
Reb: Rebel Defender (Chaingun, Rocket Launcher, Grenades, Rage, mediocre jetpack abilities)
EDIT: New video to reveal a nearly complete Stealth Trooper:
http://www.xfire.com/video/18a071/
All you sniping maniacs should love this unit - a sniper rifle, stealth, and awesome sprinting speed? You couldn't ask for more.

IMO, at least, though, he is much more effective on the front lines than perched in seclusion.
EDIT2: Why isn't anyone making any posts?
I think I've finished the Stealth Trooper, and the Rebel Charger is ingame now.

EDIT3:
Pretty much done with the actual map, just gotta finish the custom units.

Really good work biohazard, your modding saga is really starting to 'bloom'.

Great work bio!

The Crush Droid, my first ever unit that is a completely new addition; all the other custom units are edits of ones that don't appear on the map (Rush Droid, for example is just a heavily modified droid marine) In reality, it's just a modified MangaGuard, but it's significant in that it has its own reqs and odfs. Oh, and I made the award sniper rifle more awardy. I hate the default award rifle, it's horrible compared to the normal one. I gave it more oomph proportional to the amount that the other award weapons improve upon the original.
Screenies or video soming as soon as I figure out how to use the localize tool to rename it, and hopefully it actually works
EDIT: yea.... I accidentally put the wrong teams flag at the wrong capture point. That game ended quick XD The droid looked ok, though.

Not sure what to make of it. I find the ear on it somewhat creepy.

Not necessarily meant to be an ear, but hey, it works :p
And my goal was to make it just a bit creepy, because the CIS are generally considered the badguys.

Pfft. I was aiming for a powerful droid, and that's what sprang to mind. I rather like it. I may yet tweak it a bit, though.

Normally I dislike Naboo maps, but this one actually looks pretty nice and I always enjoy custom sides.
