Samus Aran: Bounty Hunter
This is my second player model! The feared and mysterious Samus Aran from the Metroid series. Seen here in the Varia Suit. I will have some video and more info when I announce the map for this unit and more....
(Just so you know I have played it in game and its a lot better than the clone commando. I know some people said the commando looked better than it played in game, oh there will be hands

)

those shoulders look humongous, but you said it looks good ingame, so i'll take your word and guess that they straighten themselves out. nice work! does this mean you decided to do the metroid map?

LOL I was wondering how long it would take someone to correct the HIM statement.
The shoulders are big, but if you look at models from the real series in game of Samus they look even bigger!!

Atleast they add some character

the hips look really messed up, you should fix them, the shoulders are way too big also. where did you get the texture cause it looks photosourced cause it doesnt fit the model at all unless you edited the clone again and placed bits and pices over the clones skin to make it.

The only textures that are messed up are the arms and a part on here stomach. As for the shoulders, I guess you havn't see Samus's real shoulders from the actually game! Look below! There bigger than mine!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the textures from various screens then edited them in a program to blend better.
No I didn't edit the clone model, to make the above unit would of been impossible by editing it!

well you should make plain shoulders without the giant balls and then add them to get correct movement.

the shoulders in that screen look a little lower on the arms than the one's in your moddel. also, the helmet seems a little larger in the screen, or perhaps the shoulder balls are placed too far away from the helmet in yours. perhaps thats why your shoulders seems so relatively large...but i guess its hard to say for sure exactly whats right until its ingame.

I think, Boba, that that post said it all
I dunno why, Vyse - but I can't 'reenvelope' my model on that scene you sent to me *sigh*
you have MSN or Xfire or something? I'd also liek to follow the progress of this unit

SHE looks pretty cool - so is she gonna shoot out of the --laser-thingy on her right arm...?

So when you envelope and then move the bone your mesh doesn't move with the bone?
Are you getting a error message or something?
Animate -> Deform - Envelope -> Set Envelope then YES. Next you click on all of the bones you want to envelope. Then right lcick to confirm the selection.
As for Samus, I have taken a little break from here to do some ships. (which will remain a secret) but Yes she will have a cannon on her arm. The main prob right now is that when you shoot her shoulder the laser goes right through her!!! Which isn't a good thing, I don't know what determines where a unit can get hurt.
For those that want to see what she looks like in game, screeny below!

Remember its no where near complete, I know about the texture/mesh probs! Also, I am taking a break from this unit.

you gotta fix the arms, i can see where they start cause there not connected to the torso.

Yes, I did not line them up with the bones perfectly, I just threw them on to see what it would look like.
