You know what would be cool for this map, a new game mode called Duel. It doesn't have to canon, it would be max of 4 players, jedi vs sith (ex, Darth Bandon and Malak vs Revan and Balista) with no force powers and boasted health :D .

pretty much done, just a few tweak here and there we need to make and some accessories. Then setting up the modes etc.

Hm, if my copy of KotOR comes tomorrow (should, [Diet Dr. Pepper] first rate, one day shipping, cost me an extra like 6 bucks :P), then I swear, I'll be done with it before this is done :runaway:.

This looks so insanely good! :shock: Really, this IS pandemic level.. For now this is WAY the best, high quality and original map someone has made.. I speak to you guys often.. You should really give me some tips on texturing and UVing.. Wow.. Just, really.. Wow :faint:

Can't speak for Rep and his use of MAX, and I don't know how well this would do with characters, but heres my texturing tip.

Use cubic projections, when texturing occasionally, instead of Unique UV's, Cubic will organize the layout of the UV's better, so it's easier to arrange on your texture in a good looking way. You can even use it very well on cylinders, and other shapes that aren't cube-like.

Like Rep said this map is going fast, we don't have much left to do, but we still have some gameplay decisions to make.

Just a low poly model with a crappy texture would do since they'll be far away, like in some of the original bf2 maps (Lol, you should check out those ships flying in the distance in most maps from up-close in freecam mode, they look more like a piece of cheese than a starship)

Though low poly with crappy textures isn't really your style is it :D

there is a sith fighter in the "ages of star wars: jedi civil war" mod for empire at war
you could ask the mod team for the model

If you don't mind me asking, how is progress on the Wardroid model?
I'm not sure if we would use it in the sides per-say, but more likely a deactivated one as a prop.

Lol, yes I have seen them, and they are spectacularly primitive.

But I've asked Rep about it, and we'll see, I think it's a great idea, and would really add to it, but there is a problem I think...
If we used them via sky dome, like my Hammerhead, they would occasionally fly right through the ship itself, I don't think there is a way to specifically confine them to the sides of the map area.

This would require us to make like 10 or so of them in XSI, and animate them to swoop and fly about, then these could be placed as animated props. I think that may be the only way to do it.

...except that it's done on every space map. Check out the space map's .sky files, they're pretty straightforward.

P.S. 100% agreed on using cubic projection. Makes everything loads easier.

The Wardroid is going great! Torso part completely done and textured, starting the legs now.. Also, I've got enough time, hope to have him finished within a week or so..
