I need help on how to change ODF's and FX's

I need help on how to change ODF's and FX's
I can change them but they wont let me save as ODF files or FX's. They only save in a wordpad format.

When you save your file, be sure you selected the "All file" option in the "Type section, and you placed correct extension after your file's name.
