Problem with running BFBuilder.hta

Hello,

My problem has nothing to do with modding itself, but perhaps someone here knows how to help me out.

I have downloaded the modding tools and unzipped everything to the right directory.

When I try to create a new project with BFBuilder.hta, Internet Explorer gives me an error message for an error called "Scripting.FileSystemObject".
It says sth. like ActiveX could not create an object.

Well, I am not an expert and I have no clue what ActiveX actually is/does, but could someone please tell me what the problem is and how I can solve it? What are the correct IE settings to run BFBuilder.hta?

Thanks in advance.

Haven't you been modding for oh, say, 3 months now? Try a reisntall? (Save your projects)

Yeah ace, but since my own computer is broken with all my map projects lost, I am now using another PC.
I extracted the tools to C:\LucasArts\BFBuilder

Do you have explorer version 5.0 or greater? (You can see the version in Explorer, Help and then info).

maybe you used a path with a space in it?

"C:\LucasArts\BFBuilder"
Do you see any space here, Qdin ? :D

Or maybe it is due to a bad setting in a fire-wall, or in a software such as WebWasher ? :|

I have my tools installed in :E:\Fransis\unsupported_swbf_mod_tools\BFBuilder and it works fine.

Yes, because there are no spaces in this directory...

Yeah, it did the same for me, but I deleted SWBF and ZeroEdit a while ago...they both barely ran on there...but, well, it did, and that's just weird...

Indeed, you just have to open the "Read me" file included in SWBF Mod Tools to get the same conclusion...

Ok if anyone is still looking at this forum...I don't even use BFBuilder anymore. I work on the project from within the world file.

Do you create your new projects "manually" ? :? (By modifying the "DataTEMPLATE" folder's content...)

The only reason i do use BFBuilder is to create a new project, after it creates the file it crashes, so then i have a new world anyways.
