This seems to me like it's basically stopped since the beta. Is anyone still doing anything on this behind the scenes, or have you guys just stopped completely?

Oh MY @ยง$%&! :runaway:
they didnt post updates FOR A MONTH-------------A MONTH
the world will end! some terrible accident must have happened to the contributors!
maybe they got kidnapped by george lucas because he didnt like the mod OMG! :runaway:

seriously, (most) people have a real-life which (in the very worst case) could sometimes prevent them from modding all the time and showing every single new skin to you

I would not go that far, Darth D.U.C.K. A month is pretty long for a mod to go without updates. However, as you said, people do have "real" lives that are definitely a higher priority.

maybe they didnt create stuff for the mod for one month even if they had time, wheres the problem?
i just cant see why so many people have to ask "ist it dead, isitdead, isitdead,we want UPDATES!" as soon as they think they have waited long enough for something new and nothing happened
nobody is forced to post updates or develope his mod in a certain speed

He was just asking if they stopped working on it for the time being, which is something the creators are allowed to do too. After a month of no updates, it seems perfectly normal to me for someone to ask if they stopped working on a project, even if it is temporarily.

you are right, i was a bit too harsh, i apologize
what i wanted to say was just that maybe some developers could feel a bit disturbed if they are asked too often about updates and possible cancel of their mods/maps

Just played through the beta.....biggest problem isn't any bug, its that you've used a whole lot of BFX assets (including effects and odfs actually by ARC_Commander) which unless you got permission you can't do since this is a mod rather than a map.

Where did you ask for that permission? As far as I know - and as far as we've told anyone else - if you don't get an answer, the answer doesn't become "yes."

yeah? becuase many many time ago (before than my mod posted) i sent pm to ARC_Commander , and when you asked about permission i said and i resend a new PM but he never asnwered so was unless 6 or 7 months so i believed i have permission only must add credits to him, so i must remove my mod :S ?

I won't ask you to remove something that's already done, but please don't do it again. If someone doesn't answer, that never means "yes."

True enough and there's not a difference between copying someone's odf in one go and copying it word for word, but for the effects at least it still stands, they can't be used.

i think a staffmember said that (it may have been teancum but i dont want to claim he did it), however that applied only if there were no exact terms of use in the readme and since ARC_Commander literally wrote that its not allowed without permission the case is clear

Exactly, Tean told someone (I'm pretty sure it was me, it was sometime last year) that if you don't get a response from someone when asking for their permission, that you can use it if there isn't anything written in a readme or something specifically saying not to, and if you get a response that says that you can't then you have to stop work with it.
