Just out of Curiosity: Negative Push?

Just wondering if anyone's messed with a negative push just yet. I found out about this just today and was wondering if something like a black hole bomb can be made from this.

would be cool, however rather than a bomb would it be possible to implement this for a region, ie so that if you walked to close to a certain area you would have a "negative push" towards something. I am thinking along the lines of how someone would get sucked out into space if a door blew open. walk to near the negative push region and it'll suck you out into space where you could setup a death region something like that. I don't know if any of that is vaguely possible but I'm sure the effect would look good!

if you gave force push a negative value it should (in theory, I think) pull something towards you. in effect creating a force pull

alas, no, the force is strictly and up and down thing. I've tried giving forcepull a negative push and it did nothing (I thought of the same thing). A negative push to up is down and pushing a unit into the ground didn't do anything. >.<
hmm... getting sucked into outerspace... hmm....
P.S. Oh well, if nothing else, my vacuum beam works. :p
