Has anyone ever tried making a walker out of the acklay?

On the Cantina Club thread it was discussed breifly.

To do it you would need a .xsi version of the acklay .msh (Yes, I know the 3d Object converter is screwy, but there is no other way)

Once you had that, you would need to add a firepoint where you want the rider and then add it into all the animations, hp_rider.

Then you would have to convert it back to .MSH

Then, you would have to make the new acklay odf, probably based on the kaadu or tauntaun.

It just might be crazy enough to work.

just to add to Snork, you WOULD have to make your own rig for it... since 3d converter doesn't save anything but the meshes themselves you'd have to get the original skeleton to add in the hp_seat..


That'd do the trick, most likely.

Or just on the EASY scale... you basically just selects one of the bones on its skeleton or one of the Nulls, and tell the .odf to use this element for the seat..

This way you'll basically pass over Snork and my post.. but we've got a wide horizont :D (hey, I'd recommend just using one of the bones or the eff_ or root_ nulls as the hp_rider/hp_seat)

Well, I took the tauntan odf, and just put in the acklay view values, and mesh. I'm going to try it out in about ten minutes.

You can't convert the 3D object to a .exp.

Ah, it caused crash after crash, so I removed it. It's above my talents as a modder, either that or I just didn't try hard enough to get it to work...

Try bone_root or bone_pelvis. (these are actually in the same place.

Other choices could be root_neck bone_necka bone_neckb bone_neckc
