Ok, im starting a new space map, and i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this Problem;
whenevera flyer flies off into space, it just crashes into a cruiser (yes it is bot controlled)
I dont want to add any flyer splines or anything, since i want the flyers to go anywhere they want. (except into the cruiser )

anyone know thow to fix this problem?

Ie never done a space map but You should just be able to place Barriers in Zeroedit to tell them not to fly there..

i do that and they still do it.....:\

You can add AI danger regions (read about them in the documentation), but they are spotty in their performance at best. Saying "I don't want to add flyer splines" is a bad mindset to have if you want to have a good space map. Put down your flyer splines well, and believe me, the effect will be far superior to "going anywhere" and you still won't get the impression that your AI pilots are just on rails.

1-Splines are more "guidelines". They AI don't follow them 100% to the letter
2-Giving your fighters the ability to go anywhere will cause them to crash almost as much as they kill, since they only go by targets. If they target something on the other side of a cruiser, they'll try to go through it.

dang i guess ill just try putting in splines, dont lock until i test it out plz-ty

EDIT: alright...how do you set up splines.....the docs are doing a bad job of explaining it to me...a lil help? sorry for the bother, i couldnt find anything in the FAQ.

Just make a path in your base layer that you want them to follow, and name it "entity addnamehere"
Save and munge. Congrats you have just added a flyer spline path (Don't worry, the docs are rather difficult to understand on flyer splines)
