didn't he still have a problem? O.o Especially considering he apparently haven't had that 'error' before...

So either he has become like the rest of us or sometihng screwed up
So if you ignore the message, does it then work, IPodZanyMan?

What do you mean it became the same as the rest of us, does it not work for any of you people either?

It does, but everyobdy - but you - got the Common.lvl message. So that's where your was 'unique'. So maybe it became 'normal'?
Search for CamStudio - I think it was called - and record a small video where you open it and recieves the error(s) so we can see what it is.
And when you get the Windows Error, make sure to look under Technical Informations as it will tell where it had an error. it will also show it if it's a corrupted file.

Getting errors is normal with that tool. This has allready been answered, if you just place the files described in a earlyer topic(I'll look it up for you tomorrow) it will run and give the errors, tough this doesn't matter. I don't know the exact explaination but MaxLoef has explained it allready a few times on Game Toast. But it should run fine WITH those errors. Just ignore them and don't try to fix them.

-OK that is not the problem, it
WILL NOT run, I know about the message error, as I said before it will say the common.lvl problem then I press ok, and it crashes and says "do you want to report this to Microsoft?". All I was trying to see if anyone knows what I should do, because nothing seems to work for me

.... I am thinking of re-downloading the BF2 modtools, but I don't want to waste time downloading if I don't need to.... But thanks for the advice.....

-oh I thought you used it personally, nm

thanks anyways, it doesn't seem to work, I'll go into the search function and see if the thread exists still....

Are you trying to run it by opening a .fx file or by running the .exe in the _lvl_pc ?

)
blocky....

This might sound *stupid* but, I cannot get the effects to not be blocky, I put everything where it is supposed to go... I was also wondering, what are the .dll's
theguarder is talking about?
fixed the problem a long time ago

I downloaded the
.dll's and putted them in the same folder as particle editor.

There was DLL you need to download the swbf II editor to work? hadn't you read that?
also the blocky effects is becouse you don't have the munged textures. copy all the munged effect files and textures from one of your worlds ((Can get them from the build folder I think)) and make a folder called munged in your _lvl_pc folder or where you have the particle editor placed.
