Zeroeditor Launch Problems

Ok, the zeroeditor is driving me insane. I make my map name and everything, but when I hit edit <insert name>, it brings up the launch screen. Good you say, but you would be wrong. Shortly after it says like so: "zeroeditor has something about errors, and needs to shut down. Don't send/send error report. Making me insane.

Also, I'm new to these forums. Is my sig working?

1st off turn off error reporting in xp (un related to issue but why bother sending microsoft text files about everything on your pc)

2nd sound like a memory issue but what exactly does it post to the screen as the issue for it being closed.

"Zeroeditor.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

That's the closest thing it has to something useful.

On the sig issue, do you see it now, and how do I get my xfire stats on there as I see many of you have?

Edit: I see it is visible...

sig is working now ;)

if you go into your profile page on the xfire site there is a spot to get the code and poaste into your sig for the xfire info.

Also before shutting off the error reoprting you can click the "learn what is being sent" text url and it will tell us all ,why and what is causing the issue.

Tried it. Too confusing... It says that it will send the cause, but it doesn't give me anything useful (that I can interpret).

It is the second one. Put it so it looks like this:

C:\unsupported_swbf_mod_tools\BFBuilder

Then it should work!

Are you using servicepack 2? Because when I had servicepack 2 Zeroeditor crashed everytime I tried to start it, now I removed servicepack 2 and now zeroeditor doesn't crash anymore.

Dipstick,

Reinstalling doesn't fix the crash? Did you install BFBuilder in a path with no spaces? If anyone would know the solution, it would be Fred.

You opened zeroedit in the zip file? You have to put it in C:/lucasarts/
and not in Program files because there is a space in it: Program<space>Files

Ok, but in the C:/Lucasarts and not C:/program files/Lucasarts because program files has a space in the name.

doh... the lucas arts pathway is under "C:\Program Files\LucasArts" by default isn't it? In which case the pathway contains a space like ppl keep telling u...
so move the bfbuilder tools and ect to "c:\bfbuilder" and then c if it works, then we'll go from there.

edit: oh soz... i started typing earlier then had excruciating tooth pain.
