(1) Kamino: Clone Command (Almost Done!)

This thread is for the discussion of Kamino: Clone Command, Map 1.
Release Date: TBA (after current progress, probably a week or two)
Description:
"Kamino: Clone Command
- The aquatic world of the Clones and Kaminoans is now under attack by a group of CIS droids. The 404th's first mission is to protect their home base and destroy the droids before too much harm is done."
Pictures:
90% complete layout
Shot of one of the corner buildings
The map will feature Phase 1 Clones, with some of the following changes:
-The Jet Trooper is now the "Elite Trooper," he has a Blaster Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Blaster Pistol, and Mines.
-The Clone Commander is now the "Support Trooper." Same Weapons, but with the red Phase 1 skin and Blue kama.
The Droids have been changed for balance, changes are as follows:
-Rifleman Unit is now a normal Battle Droid instead of an SBD
-Magnaguard has been changed to the Spec. Ops Droid, Same Weapons as MG but it has the Green Marine Skin
-Droideka has been removed (I know someone will be upset ;P)
-Aero Droid has been added, same weapons as the Elite Trooper, Blue Pilot skin.
So, awesome map or what?

Looking great, Fusion!

This I'm sure will prove to be a good series.

Unlike mine which is really getting no-where really at the moment. But, who knows?

Nah. The removal of the SBD is a reasonable excuse.
Will this map include any vehicles or just units?
Lovely water btw. I think for a nighttime map, it may need to be darker....

No vehicles, while planning out the map I finally realized why Pandemic removed starfighters from Tipoca, it just doesn't work.
I should also mention again that Darth_Z13 can answer questions about the map as well as I can, as he's the one building it.

Question: Will new efx and new sounds be added to each map? (Movie-like I mean.

It doesn't have to unbalance gameplay or w/e, but still)
I'm a sucker for that stuff... lol.

Probably not, as I just want this to be a Special Addition (kinda like the Xbox addon) to BFII, not a completely new thing.

Some new FX will be added as well as the custom sounds used in Toola v1.1 but it won't be 'super overboard everything new'.

It wouldn't look as good, because at least the Battle Droid model has something that flames can come out of other than the gun

if you look carefully at the picture, you can see the flames are coming from a jetpack. jus give the SBD a jetpack and theres a air droid for you

but I have to agree kamino maps are the same unless it's under water.

At least it's something that hasn't been tried yet for BFII, a new Kamino map, and not one of the endless Generic Forest #5 maps

You do have a point. There aren't many Kamino maps. Maybe this one will inspire some more.

IMO, the reason why there aren't many Kamino maps, is because once you start to make it, it's impossible to avoid using the same old shipped kamino assets.
Once you start using those assets, it makes the map look like a "same old, nothing new" map.
Unless someone makes a completely original, out-of-the-box Kamino map, there aren't going to be many out there.

Well maybe if there were a few Kamino maps that concentrated on the interior parts of the buildings (basement with flood :p) that could work out.

I actually had the idea of doing that droideka, but gave it up seeing as how I needed lots of models and it would be too challenging to line up hallways and everything.
Btw, Fusion/Z-13 what will be new in this besides the units/skins? Any new rooms? I take it, the map's gonna have a different layout, but that's like taking Endor, and rearranging the trees.
