working on the tunnels at the moment,will post some pics in the next few days if everything works out.The first map was started as a learning curve for me to see what could be done with the space maps,and yes I hope it beats the living crap out of that map!

Gordman, I wouldn't say stupid because 11of3 did that mod/map and i think it was pretty good just for dogfighting.

Anyway, Nice screenshots. Just like the trench for the Death Star I make this exhaust port smaller.

thanks for the positive replies.please remember that I do not rush my maps because I want them to be just right when released.The size of the tunnel my be an issue but I am hoping that somebody(hint)will make a flyable falcon and need to make sure that it will fit!still working out if there should be one long tunnel to the reactor or abit of a maze.at the moment there is a choice in the tunnel,go forward or turn ,but the junction is very hard to find(and I know where it is!)

........and whats this about the other stupid dogfighting map,a man could take offence!

I've got the falcon ready, but I've used up all of my XSI demos on all of my computers (about 6 months of free XSI all together lol), but if someone wants to animate the top and bottom turrets and the landing gear (hopefully the landing gear from Hoth as a base model), I can lend the ODF I have with thruster effects. I thing I have it tweaked to be just perfectly balanced.

Woah cool this map looks brilliant jut a few ideas though


1.Make impact from crashing starfighters damaging to the thing they hit. E.g in ROTJ an A-Wing crashes into the bridge of the super star desryer and destroys it which brings me to my next point..

2. Is there going to be Vader's super star destroyer

3.Will the death star acually blow up??

4.And finally will there me an animation of the superstardestroyer crashing into the death star?

if you know how these things can be done then please let me know and I will see what I can do.I am still making the map before looking at what else needs to be done.

Ok i dont realy know how any of this can be done i posted them merely as suggestions as i am new to the modding scene :? .

The only thing i could thibk of doing would be this. Get hold of the program that makes frigates etc fly around like in CTF in space and Campaign space maps and engineer it so the super star destroyer crashes into the death star.


You could also use a frigate as the bases of the superstar destroyer so the program may work. (you would obviously have to build up the frigate so it resembles the super star destroyer)

Dont hold me to either or these suggestions i have no idea if they will work lol. :P

1) to me, it looks as though the 'chamber' where the reactor core is should be bigger. If you look at the movie, it's vast.

2) HOLY CRAP THAT MAP IS LOOKING AMAZING!

yes I agree,thats the mark 1 reactor which needs to be improved.At the moment I am working on some more surface detail and more detail in the tunnel.

11of3 are you gonna have the tunnel split into 2 tunnels like it did in the movie?

everything looks great so far!!
