Banning Users Deletes Their Posts?
There was a user recently banned and now all his posts are gone. This makes some topics hard to read as other posts in the topic refer to the now deleted posts. The lack of posts makes it impossible to determine why that user was banned and any useful info provided by the user is lost as well. Why is GT setup this way?

That's an option when you ban a user. I typically don't do that just for the reasons you mentioned.

Re: Banning Users Deletes Their Posts?
i removed a user that was posting links to his sites in all his posts, he had 2 warnings from other users, I dont tolerate that crap. Regardless I had checked and most of his posts were crap so there is no "good" data missing. He emailed me about 40 times trying to get back on saying what did i do , then he emailed saying OOPS sorry i posted links to sites. People know exaclty what they did and in most cases none of you toss their posts, for me if they are abusive , they are perma wiped. Sadly the site erased all user who had mail.russia recently but that user negah has been resetup, although his posts were lost there was no way to seperate him frmo the 200 users frmo those email addresses who were fake/spamz
