Smoothing edges.

How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.

Smoothing edges.

Post by EGG_GUTS »

I can use XSI now! (Kudos to Challenger33) But how would you smooth the edges on cubes? If you can? Just to make it look less cubic. I know I could make somewhat of a round cube from a sphere but smoothing the edges would just be easyer.

Thanks

Try using the bevel edges command. Hilite all the edges you want to bevel then choose the command. I believe it is in the modify polygon section of the menus. There also is a smooth command but that may do too much smoothing (will I think it does).

By way of example this took about 3 minutes total to do.
The stacked ones are beveled the single one is smoothed.
