I've been changing the size of my textures, but...
A little while ago, I made a few ships in XSI that I textured with various texture sizes just as a safekeeping for ideas for when I become a game designer. I didn't expect to use them in BF modding, but I think I might try to use them in a mod now. The problem is that I didn't make all the textures 516x516. They were all random sizes. I changed all the texture sizes to 516x516, and I thought for sure that the textures would shift around/look different on the model they were applied to. It turns out the textures look no different from when I applied them. Is this supposed to be like that, or does XSI make like a copy of the used texture so even if the source texture's size is changed, the texture on the model isn't changed?

Not sure, but just to say 516x516 won't work ingame either.
It should be 512x512.
Anyway, I guess it's because the UV is already baked onto the model/textures, so if you rescale the texture, so does the UVs.

Thanks for your input.
I couldn't remember whether it was 512 or 516.
Oh yeah. Thanks.Darth_Spiderpig wrote:It should be 512x512.
