kay, my comp has been doing this for months, but recentley has become increasingly annoying. :cpu:

I have to hold the power button for like 5 minutes (really) for it to turn on. Today i was trying to get it to turn on for 10 before it finally did. REALLY annoying :runaway: . Doesnt always do it though...

What should i do to fix this?

Plug the PSU directly into an outlet.

Also, if you're comfortable opening up your case, check the wires leading to the power button and also try swapping out your power supply if you have a spare one..

..Or just leave your computer on..as a temporary fix.

nah, dont have time to open it up and accidentley break something in it. Im not an hard expert on computer inner workings, but good chance thats the problem.
Trying to plug it directley into an outlet isnt an option either... theres no (good) outlets near the computer so i have to use my surge-protector-extension-cabley-thing (forgot the name).

A Powerstrip?

My only advice would be to check the button itself, same thing happened to the A button on my old Gameboy, turns out it was pushed in so much that it didn't even know that I was pushing on it.

I would call it a powerbar.

Anyways, I'm think that what crazytieguy said is most likely. So, I'm thinking that either you get someone to do it for you or you do it yourself.

Sound like your button is breaking from extensive use. You shouldn't be pressing hard on it.

I have a simalar problem with my computer.
Its kinda fried, so it doesn't matter much, but...
When I hit the botton to turn it on the first time, it whirs and beeps and does all that stuff but the screen stays black, never turns on.
I have to turn it Back off, and on again, only then will it work.

I've had that problem once before, hard reformatting fixed it for me.
