get>primitive>polymesh>Cube
but I think it's a good idea that you follow some starters tutorials.

Here is a little short project that I just did:
I may actaully be able to texture this one, because it's basically just a chromey texture with a bit of shading and a muzzle.
I plan to put specular on it.

This is Padme's balster, well one of them she actually uses 4 in the attack to reclaim Naboo in Ep 1.
It is the Royal Pistol. I made it for fun and practice and maybe use in my sewers map but I just can't make it chrome looking enough. It still needs a bit more detail too.

To help make it look chrome, apply specular using Edit Flags to the metal parts. It will make them shine (somewhat) convincingly.

I'll try that, I tried the render chrome flag (according to squipple's Flags grid) and it didn't seem to do much

I don't think that the specular works for BF2 apart from glow, though I could be wrong. You need to use the BF1 thing or something...

yep - the SWBF1 XSI Exporter have all the flags you need - but I'm sure you know this since you've gone through the list

(not sure if Chrome is actually in SWBF2 Exporter)
And to get Specular working, I'm pretty sure you need some sun or something...

Maybe changing the materials - and add more specular through that way - would work better?

chrome works, i made the nose and whole under side of the N-1 chrome but it lagged like crazy and you could see polygon boundaries as if it were faceted.

Are there numbers that have to or can be applied in the data fields to make a difference for chrome?
Thanks for your help.

quit blaming LA, the game was just published by them, pandemic made it but they had a dead line and only so much could be done, crying doesnt change anything.

@razgriz
Hey what can I say the pistol is a bit bland, have a bit more detail to do but it was more to try and make a weapon and
put it in game. I tell you this weapon kicks butt better than Leia's wimpy sporting blaster.

Just got to make it a lot shinier

FragMe, it looks like you're basing your work out of the exact same book that I am. Cool!
