@ mav thanks for the advice I took a look at the screens before actualyl starting this and I felt that they were too "cloneish" that is most of the units looked to similar to clone troopers. I feel that LucasArts stresses too much clone material ie the new Clone Wars TV shows and movies etc. I'm a fan of clones too but I wanted to try a mod that was Star Wars but focused on the human aspect or species aspect more than just a masked plastic looking soldier coming towards you. I guess it's then hypocritical to use Sith troopers so I will be trying to look for a replacement for them. I got the inspiration for using rebels from the original video where Angral takes Coruscant and those guys looked a lot like rebels to me. Again thanks for the advice but I think I want to stick with the rebels on this one. Currently there are 3 stock rebel units (reskinned) being used. I plan for the rest to be a lot like the Duros where it's another alien species or mercenary type. I really want for this to show diversity in the units rather than just different clone legions. I am however open for suggestions for sith units.

I wouldn't necessarily make the whole side layout look like that, but those do represent the "trooper" class in the Old Republic (whether the source material is appealing or not is unfortunately in the hands of other developers, not us). If it were me, I would try to include it, just for visual consistency, but would probably only have one unit class look that way. There are several different available player classes with visual references on the TOR site.

they're were also ones in the video seen here. I am currently developing a more heavily armored republic unit using the dark trooper

The 'Old Republic' period covers both styles. But those suit you are showing don't belong to the same era as the ones from kotor. And the author of this map is using the ones from Kotor, so I doubt he makes these. And, if he did, it could be considered uncanon.

It is actually not a sith but a dark jedi. The inspiration comes from KOTOR in this pic here

As you can see the ones in the pic did not have cloaks but I figured since it is cold out they should be a little warm. Since the dark Jedi is not a Sith it does not have the usual Sith powers. It is weaker than a normal jedi and can only perform force push and choke. Also I edited the combo file so that he can perform a minimal range of attacks. Basically it's a simple "jedi" that is dark.

I love the idea of the ruins kinda being in the water. Sort of reminds of that Lord of the Rings battle (can't remember where it was) in the flooded city. Very nice :D
EDIT: How do you get rid of the ripples in the water (make it clear and still), that looks really good!

You could try putting a thin layer of mist above the water, or maybe have some snow falling. IMO the sky and lighting could be a little darker to match with the lantern lit insides (lanterns on in this light?) but it doesn't have to be night though.

That's what happens when your turn your video settings to their highest quality.
