You know, a Pre-Episode 1 game that takes place after the Ruusan Reformation would be cool. If not that, then at least one during the New Sith Wars.

But they better not make a legacy-era game.

You know, I took great interest in some early videos of TFU, showcasing the interesting things that could be done with the engine, that was before the story was unveiled, and I think I remember hearing them say that the engine would be used in other games and products in the future, possibly by Lucas Arts; so here was I wondering if perhaps this new Star Wars game could be using that same engine, I mean, maybe it is a new The Force Unleashed game.

The story? Well, I don't see "chronicles of Starkiller's life" anywhere in the title, so I guess we could have a different The Force Unleashed game, with a different setting and characters (who knows, the game could very well take place at the time of the Old Republic, as Lord Bardar said). Though I recognize that it would be more or less the exact same thing - I can't imagine an even more exaggerated vision of the force and its applications than what was shown in TFU, if they push it any further than that, then... well, then I guess we will enter in the realm of anime physics...

Doesn't necessary have to span 300 years in one game. Perhaps it would deal with Revan's journey into Unknown Space, and then returning to defeat the Sith, but somebody survives and thus, 300 years later we have the sacking of Coruscant (as seen in the trailer, the Sith explains that for 300 years there was peace, and no trace of the Sith to be found, so it would make sense and perfectly fit in at the same time).

Yeah, I would like to know what happened to Revan. It's silly how they told us that Revan was the most awesome guy ever, and then simply shoved him aside and said "oh, he died off-screen, too bad..." in the sequel.

I like Revan, if only for the simple fact that he represents myself -or rather, who I would like to be- in the Star Wars universe, and I feel a little betrayed, they removed that special character, whom I had created and cared for myself, without any logical explanation, besides the necessity of a new fresh plot, I think it's unfair. Ah I don't know, I guess I'm going off-topic here, nevermind, I just felt like I had to say that sooner or later.

I sincerely hope that Lucas will finally release BF3... but I agree with Tean, it could be a new Republic Commando or TFU2. Please don't disappoint us again...

KoTOR 3 (But not an MMO one, because subscriptions < Free offline leetness)
I guess RC 2.

but since they gave me the feel of "You think you've seen every type of game, except for the one we're making but you don't know about" then I'll either say it isn't a sequel, or they're making some sort of tetris 4D with jedi and sith.

We've already had it in both game and TV series - Clone Wars (the "Prototype" series) and The Clone Wars.

In any case, I don't think it'll be another TFU. I think it'd either be:

BFIII
Another Republic Commando game
Another KoToR game
Or even remotely possible to be another LEGO game.

*facepalm* Oh, man! I comepleteley forgot about KotOR 3!

I'll donate my kidney if they announce Kotor 3. That's much I don't think Kotor 3 is happening.

I'd love to see BFIII, Republic Commandos 2, or a Jedi Knight game with Kyle. Or a new Xwing vs TIE fighter. Also they should do it internally if they can't get a good developer to do it.

OoOH! a next-gen JKA/JO/Dark forces game would be leet too.....meaning they won't make one

I highly doubt it will be another KotOR game, considering they just announced the last few classes for SW:TOR. Although it would be neat to find out what the heck happened to Revan after he disappears.
I've got my money on a Battlefront game. Those BFIV concept arts looked legitimate, but they might also decide to go along with the BFII thing to release it alongside Elite Squadron.
And if they do a Force Unleashed game, it doesn't necessarily have to be Starkiller does it? They could use the same engine and controls, but maybe play through the saga as Anakin, Luke, or another Sith/Jedi at a random point in time.

I really hate to burst everyones bubble but it cant be rc2. only Ic. because the last mission in the 1st happened like 2 days before the end of the clone wars. I suppose you could include a order66 mission but it would have to be with a new unknown squad as omega didnt kill a single jedi. and i think delta squad didnt kill a jedi...

isn't that only according to karen traviss' novels? those are pretty much entirely non-canon, her RC books. so yes, a RC2 could happen, but it's big money that it won't.

Unfortunately, it is canon. Really bad canon. Also, there's not enough info for us to guess for sure that it's RC2. All's we know is that it's a new SW game. That's the only fact we have. Plus, it might even be an entirely new game series for all we know.

They had toyed with the idea to do a Darth Maul game.

In any case, I hope that (unused) concept for a Star Destroyer above Theed is used!

Alright, I've concluded that this new game will either be A) a new series (most likely between TOR and TPM, I would definitely hope for something with Darth Bane, considering Drew Karpyshyn's trilogy is coming to an end this December) B) something Clone Wars related. There's no other possibilities. As much as we all sit here wanting BF3 or KotOR 3 or RC2, it ain't happening. TFU2? Nope, that was a one-time deal, like Shadows of the Empire. It only came out last year, you know that if a sequel were in the makings, it would have been found out months ago.



Although I would kill for another Dark Forces or a remake of Shadows of the Empire...
