Re: Bothawui
Try some parked landspeeders for extra props. I used the model for Luke's landspeeder in the second Aldura mission and thought it worked great (especially when you set them up to be destructable objects
).

Re: Bothawui
Ok, will try that. They are in the mod-tools assets, right?
@DoubleMM -- Yes, I was hoping to do that, not sure I'll get around to it in 1.0 release although I would like something new, any ideas?

Yes. I don't remember if it's in the BF2 assets, but I think in the BF1 assets it's either in the Tatooine world assets or the Tatooine side folder (with the Tuskens and Jawas and whatnot).sampip wrote:Ok, will try that. They are in the mod-tools assets, right?

Yeah, it kinda looks repetitive. Maybe rotate them randomly?sampip wrote:Opinions on:

Re: Bothawui
Indeed. Too perfect. Rotating and SLIGHTLY moving them off of their pristine pattern should fix that, though.Null_1138 wrote:Yeah, it kinda looks repetitive. Maybe rotate them randomly?sampip wrote:Opinions on:

Also, the one picture featuring the platfroms...
That ramp in the middle looks too bright and bland, IMO. Try adding more contrast to the lines in the bricks? It just looks like if I looked at that ingame too long my eyes would start to hurt...sampip wrote:Hidden/Spoiler:Hidden/Spoiler:
Other than those two things, this looks awesome

Re: Bothawui
I'll decrease the brightness on the ramp a touch perhaps, but I don't really think it needs to extra contrast lines IMO.

Ok, will do. I may have to remove every other tree because of Z-fighting but I haven't looked for it, they aren't actually over lapping.Twilight_Warrior wrote: Indeed. Too perfect. Rotating and SLIGHTLY moving them off of their pristine pattern should fix that, though.

Re: Bothawui
i dont want to complain but the speeders look repetive too
(i cant believe that 6 bothan who live in the same street have exact the same speeders, i mean you wont find 6 exactly same cars beside eachother in one parking lot)

Re: Bothawui
Heh, I'd have to agree on the speeders. You'll have to be careful of being too overly detailed. What I mean by that is that details on what exists are great, but adding too many things ends up sacrificing gameplay for the sake of looking pretty, and usually detracts from the looks. In this case everyone will go running trying to use the speeders rather than attacking the enemy.
If you need/want a second opinion or a hand, feel free to ask.

Re: Bothawui
They don't run for them because they are now destructable objects
I think the trees'll go, I guess.
I may use a second model but the speeder lot but it'll stay there. A hand would be good, it's just I'm running out of props to use and still don't have much cover, just need one or two models that I could use for cover and stuff.

Re: Bothawui
Very nice. Even though, I would try to reskinn the benches since they don't seem to fit the surroundings.

Re: Bothawui
No, they fit pretty well. I'm just having trouble figuring out why a bunch of recreational benches would be in the middle of a road.
The map does look amazing though. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to play it.
