I like how you get to customize your characters but I still wouldn't buy a PSP for this game. and they said Assaj Ventress as a hero. Why is she in GCW? I know she lived through the clone wars but why would she be in this

I think the idea is for it to be just like BF2, except the campaign focuses around the RS instead of the reps/imps. All the conquest modes and hunt stuff etc will be the same except for of course new maps and new features such as Ventress for CW conquest, so she won't actually be in the campaign.

Wait... Is there no CW in this? Is it just GCW?

Apparently there's going to be a Hero CTF. That's probably where Asajj fits in.

I know, it's Wikipedia, but still.

you can give any unit a jet pack? or a personal sheild? now that sjust stupid, a wookie flying around in a jetpack fighting a death star gunner in white with a CR-1 blaster cannon. Another game where they flush star wars cannon and realism down the toilet.

I don't see why everyone's bashing the game just because it's PSP-only and everything. I gotta say, considering it's for the PSP and such... it actually looks pretty kickass with all the features and stuff they were able to pack in on such a small little system. Hopefully this game foreshadows the making of a brand-new all-platform Battlefront game which most likely will blow all the other ones out of the water. From what I've seen in the previews, if Rebellion Studios was able to pull all that off using the Zero engine for just the PSP, then maybe they can pull off a pretty decent BFIII for PC. The only thing I really want is a newer engine with new physics. Even if they didn't include any new vehicles, characters, etc. I'd be happy with just a new, next-gen game engine to work with.

Yes! Yes, yes yes!
I'd really like that. A lot

That is if they're using the Zero engine. It looks like it, but we're not sure yet.

It hardly seems fair that the graphics of this game are being critisized, for crying out load, its on a PSP, the screen is much smaller and its not like it has dual core processors, top of the range GFX card and 2 gig of RAM. The graphics are good for what it is, in my opinion, the graphics look better than GRAW2 for PSP. I think itll be a very good game, possibly not good enough to buy the PSP just for it though, the PSP does need more good games, it is more neglected than PC when it comes to good games. All i have left to say is thank goodness they didnt try to port it to DS, that would really suck.

well, i still look forward to the game(partially cus I have a PSP myself

) thing is with all this stuff in this spin off, 90% of the stuff in it will be included in a unconfirmed BF sequel. to be sry to be off topic but if a sequel does come out, i wonder if it has our models or models we are working on, i mean, someone was making a T4-B, and it is already in the spin-off. then it will be like a total waste of our work, but oh well. we do still need to make new stuff. fun and great addittions to the community all these new models will/would be.
still, now ontopic, the game is nice. wonder if there will be the different phases or correct phase of the dark trooper

It's interesting. Noticed the lack of Felucia, Tantive IV, Utapau, Polis Massa and Dagobah as well as Tatooine hero assault. I'm fairly certain after skimming through these instant action maps that Anakin and Leia were removed and I think Aayla was as well. I'm really not happy with the way jedi act as I've yet to find the control to block manually, instead it does it automatically and killing a solider by simply attacking isn't working out too well as they seem to attack from behind. Saber throw seems to be the quickest way (They even gave Yoda saber throw in place of force push). Looks like a new Obi-Wan Attack of the Clones model instead of the Episode 3 version. Brand new fisto. No shirtless bubble wielding one. full jedi robe with saber throw and push. Ventress fights like Aayla so no whipcord thing. So overall the ground heroes had me a bit disappointed. Ackbar was pretty nice and Han and Chewie remain good characters but the jedi leave a little to be desired. Did like the new lightning animation though for Palpatine and Dooku.
As to the customization. I'm quite pleased. I currently have my character wielding a rifle, a trishot and his own personal shield. The missions seem a bit easy so far but it'll likely get harder. Space is interesting. I'll write more on this after some more play.

What about Grievous, Maul, Ki-adi, Mace, The Fetts?

Maul's in there, I remember seeing him. Boba is as well. Don't know about the other ones, though.
I've got to say I loved the design of some of the new levels. And character customazation is pretty neat, too. I made an awesome looking Rodian character for my rebel unit, and for my loadout I use the rifle, tri-shot, cluster grenade, and health level three. However, I tend to switch my loadout during battle a lot, especially when the enemy heroes or vehicles attack.

Yeah, I'm really not used to switching weapons in battle yet. I just use the Rifle+Trishot+Jetpack+Thermal combo with my awesome 404th legion troopers
