Orbital Strike is an ordnance. You couldn't do it with that. If you had someone like Zerted coding lua, you might be able to trick the game, but I doubt it. Great idea however.RevanSithLord wrote:Hmm... could call it in like you would an Orbital Strike, but instead it comes in with an ATTE for combat where ever you tell it. Just my idea if no-one thought of it yet.Looks great!
Another possible option is to have an LAAT/c bring in a new ATTE any time one gets destroyed. That might work out better.

Good idea, but it would also make coding luas for all modders who used this a pain in the rear.
Because obviously you would have to tie each walker you place into something, similar to how pertaining internal and external systems destroy simultaneously, or how shields work.
So basically it would mean having to do the above for each at-te you place in your map.
And i dont see how it would be done anyway... (where would the laat/c spawn and how would it drop of an atte etc etc...)
regardless that hypothetically is a good idea. hypothetically.

Good idea. But i really like the drop of at-te concept. Im 100% positive it can be done without going to extreme measures (like fixing the carrier system)
If source files for this are released (okay what the hell am I saying) I will definatly look into getting this working (if it isnt fixed already) and, with the authors permission, release it.
Anyhow, I feel I havent seen any updates really..
Any news on this vehicle? A screen shot would be nice.

ok, a few infos
the atte in the movie is a prop, because you cant animate a vehicle with animations.
what we want to do is to drop the atte prop with the laatc, when the laatc droped the atte, we try to delete the atte prop and let a atte vehicle spawn at the same place, we hope we get this fast enough so no one can see that we use 2 different atte
we try to do this with a script, at the moment we work on the script and hope we get it to work.

I was just thinking, you should make the entire laat series.
I wonder if its possible to turn the command(vehicle) spawnpoints into vehicle spawns. Oh would that solve everything.
If worst comes to worst, make the at-te a playable unit (easy i think, simple make a unit and have it call the at-te) then make a third side, and when the laat/c lands, it spawns at-tes. But ofcourse the laat/c would be on the third side as well.

here is another movie.
you see the laatc, with a atte prop.
when the laatc place the atte prop it changes to a vehicle and you can use the atte.
special thanks to ]4N, he made the script. great job ]4N
