Looks like he's just extremely bright, not textureless...

Are you using GIMP to reskin? If so, try burning it to make it darker.The same sort of thing happened with a sky I made, but then I made it darker!

Nah, that's definitely a missing texture error. Check your names to make sure it's named correctly.

Make sure RLE's off. Sometimes you get so used to the fact that it's always off that you occasionally let it slip
