In the note at the bottom it says that all AddonMSHs disappear when flying, but doesn't the Geonosian do it just fine?

Or is the secret this line:

JetDuration = "30.0" //The duration of the jet push, until its turned off
JetJump = "8.0" //The initial jump-push given when enabling the jet
JetPush = "8.0" //The constant push given while the jet is enabled (20 is gravity)
JetEffect = "geo_wingsfly"

// the cool bit - Mike Z
AnimatedAddon = "WINGS"
GeometryAddon = "geonosianwings_folded"
AddonAttachJoint = "bone_ribcage"

(Sorry about all the edits, troubles with the posting format)

The Geonosian is probably why addon meshes disappear when flying, so yes, his addon mesh definitely disappears when flying. When it's flying, its addon mesh (which is folded wings) is replaced by a jet [particle] effect of flapping wings.

You also can't fly with the flag because it is an addon msh.

No, you can fly with addon meshes, they just disappear. You can't fly with the flag because it is a flag. That's part of the game code.

When I try to add the addonmesh ,I select my dummyroot, press "Match All Transforms" and select my bone. Then the tutorial says I have to press the "/" key ,but when I press it, the Texture Layer Editor appears (besides I use Mod Tools 7.5).If everything would be done right , the addonmesh would rotate by rotating the dummyroot,wouldn't it?? So my addonmesh doesn't rotate.Is there another key to press if u use Mod Tools 7.5 , cuz it seems that the / key is the wrong one. :runaway:

The forward slash key in XSI is the shortcut for parenting objects, you can check the status bar at the bottom to see what the left, middle and right mouse buttons do. I just re-tested the forward slash key in Softimage Mod Tool 7.5 and the tutorial is correct. The hotkey for the Texture Layer Editor is shift+7 so you must have messed up your hotkeys somehow. :?

No I didn't , I even Don't know how to change hotkeys...
when I press alt+7 the Texture editor appeasr, mybe it's because of my german keyboard , cuz u all have the english or american (same , isn't it?) one.
