Well, yeah, I didn't mean anything like that. They're all human beings and they all deserve very high respect. Just trying to be a little optimistic here...

It was not just you, everyone who posted on this basically said, "RIP all the SEALS who were on the heli". I was just pointing out that there were more people on It then just SEALS.

Yeah, I just heard about that too. My heart was broken when I read it. Really tragic story... :(

No point in arguing. We all mourn them all anyway. I think part of the issue is that we responded before we got the entire picture. When I first heard about it I couldn't find out who died, and how many. I can't even find out if it was 7 or 8 afghan commandos that died. Anyway. This tragic effent hopefully will be a fluke, and won't happen again anytime soon.

As a side note, I screwed up something I said. Here is the corrected version.

Erwin von Witzleben was executed 67 years ago today for taking part in the July 20th Plot to assassinate Hitler. While he and his co-conspirators failed, I honor them greatly for wanting to end the evil that had become their great country of Deutschland. Anyone willing to risk their lives to end evil gets my respect. If any others involved with the July 20th Plot were executed that day and I forgot them I apologize.

EDIT:
Rest in peace Pumpkin, who died 20 minutes ago. She was a great dog, been faithful for 12 years.

I know its a bit early but God's comfort to all the families who lost loved ones & to the firefighters who lost their lives on the terrible September 11th terrorist attack. We will never forget their bravery and courage, especially to those lives that went down in Pennsylvania. At first it didn't actually seem real, it was a clear, bright day and then terror struck the nation. I don't remember much of the attack, all I do remember is seeing on TV these two towers getting struck by a plane and then seeing it collapsing. I wish I was older to really understand what went on that day. Now, as we approach the 10th Anniversary of the terrible 9/11 terrorist attack, let us always never forget those who died. And to those who fought bravely to rescue as many people as they could, even dying in the process. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

And here's a video of the President himself remembering the terrible attack that struck our nation on that one fateful day.

Eaol stands behind his words and I agree to a certain extent. Man is an evil trying to do civil. It is hard. Rest in peace the victims.

On September 15, 2001 a barge full of steel hit a support causing the collapse of the only bridge to South Padre Island, Texas killing eight people in 2001.

Nine people died when an airshow went awry. About twenty others are in critical condition, may as many lives be saved as possible, and may the dead be remembered.
