To start off, this map over all is great. The size is perfect, the comand posts are layed out well so that the battle flows excellently. There was never any lag, despite the massive amount of foliage, and trees; something I commend you for. This is not an easy battle to win, you're gonna die a lot too. It felt like the battle was weighed in the Republic's favor, every time I played as the CIS I lost. That isn't to say I ddin't lose as the Republic, I did, but I won twice as easily. The bugs are few, very few, obviously you played it before sending the betas out. I was able to walk all the way off the map, so barriers need to be put in. Other than that and a few floating objects, I couldn't find anything wrong with the map. One thing that was missing were those guns that you said you were going to give to the CIS. Other than tweaking it, nothing else really needs to be done.

Tweaks: Reskin the waterfall, it looks kinda out of place.
Give that CIS some more vehicles, we need a fighting chance.
Add more snipe nodes, especially on those tower ruins.
Consider a different sunset sky, this one was to purple for me.
Add more Medical and Ammo droids, Medic I need Ammo!
Try and spread the battle around, the whole map was beautiful. Shame I only fought in the swamp.
More turrrets and cover, I was under fire the whole battle give me shelter and guns!
Speeders, this map is beggin' for em'.
Burn the crashed AT-TE, by that I mean, put a smoke and fire FX on it.
Adjust the terrain around the crashed gunship, it looked kinda funny in game.

thanks for both reviews, i'm definitely working on some of those things. there are some bushes, in rather plain areas, and the terrain is darker. the 1.0 release should be ready within the next week or so at this rate, but i want to start on my new map as well.

Great map! I loved it! Here's my review:

Okay, first of all, great map. 9/10! :thumbs: I have only played Clone Wars, so far, but I plan to play GCW later. However, there are some glitches. FIrst of all, there's a couple of floating objects, such as one of the log bunkers. I don't know if anone else had this problem, but for me, the ground didn't have any textures (not sure iif it is the same on GCW). The reason I didn't play GCW was that the map has random crashes, it crashed while loading. I really liked the sides, Commander Rogue is very cool, but it is unbalanced in the CIS's favor. With some hard work the Republic could win, and I almost managed to. I probably could've won if I was a little better (I can hardly beat any of the wave modes). The Wookiee hut has a glowing red light and grass in it, not sure if this is intentional. The Hoth bunker was a nice touch, you did a good job reskinning it and it is a little-used asset. However, there is more grass growing in there. As mentioned before, there is a floating icon on the underhand chaingun (which was a nice touch. I liked the skins for the CIS and the AAt, and overall it was a very good map. Good job! :maulsaber:

what do you mean by no textures? as in just black or just one colour?

Okay, I just played the map again (loving these random skies and effects) and it turns out it was just something random, the map had the textures back. The same thing happened to me on Concord Dawn today, so it's probbably either a glitch or my cousin's Vista. Also, CP 2 was floating.

Ok, I just played the map and it's very beautiful. I love the randoms skies and skins, very nice improvement from your first one. This one will stay in my addon folder for a while.. I only played a brief version of it tonight and I did encounter some bugs and I'll post them soon. Maybe u could try adding some skins for the GCW era as well? I think Yank will lend u his...

Btw, on a scale of 1-10, I rate this a 8.5. 8)

Ok i got it to work!

my review:
The enviroment was very nice, but i couldnt see anything through my low graphic settings. :runaway:
I just found one strange thing and some floating objetcs:

the gameplay was great too.

some map suggestions:
add some vehicles for the cis, because the rep is way to powerful through the atte.
change some skins. some skins are to bright e.g. the assasin droid.
and i would change the texture of the terrain under the water. for example to make the ground sandish instead of grassy. :)

It's a geat map can't wait to play the final version! :D

lol thanks! atm i'm trying to figure out how to do random terrain, because i was thinking of a sandy version as well as the grassy one. other than that, i don't need to do much more.

i'm pretty sure it can be done, though it takes up some space. right now i'm attempting to rewrite the campaign so it goes ingame. campaign will replace HUNT mode in the end, but i'm having some problems with one or two of the objectives. does anyone know where i can find a simple campaign tutorial? thanks!

Nono, I do not run an advice column; the modding forum is your best bet. As you'll see posted a number of places, there can't really ever be a "campaign tutorial," because each campaign is scripted differently. All you can do is learn some basics (there are a couple basic examples in the EYN thread), look at stock campaigns, and read the scripting_system doc. Start small (just onenterregion objectives or something) and work your way up.

Well, lots of modders have done that by now, so there's no particular reason to pick out Mav.
