Countdown, day 2, is up. Only one more countdown day to go (and tomorrow's gonna be a doozy... :D )

Actually, I had planned on it (and I thought we did talk about it?). I included r61 of your 1.3 with the most recent beta, and figured that this would be an ideal means of getting it out to a lot of people who might not otherwise be able to figure out about the patch. Plus, of course, there's the fact that the Pack is dependent on the patch for a lot of things. Let me know if that'll be an issue.

So I need 1.3 to play this. That I didn't know. I don't even know where to find patch 1.3. Do I need 1.2 to download it too? I better mention I'm going on a camping trip over the weekend and won't be back until Sunday, but please respond

I thought it was fine for the beta, but I'm not sure it is for the final release. Assuming that the v1.3 patch is finished when the pack is released (which is what I'm planning for), I think it might be better if they were apart.

In the short term it is easier to release them bundled, but I think apart is better in the long term. Just putting the files in the pack greatly increases the download size. Without the binary diffs (55MB), the v1.3 patch files themselves are over 250MB. Also, the v1.3's installer provides options to configure the sides, hud, award effects, and custom map colors (yeah I know, no one has seen them since the installer is still broken). Users won't know those important options exists if the two mods are bundled. Any future v1.3 updates (hopefully there won't be any) could be a problem too as the pack won't be re-released with the changes.

The pack can work without the v1.3 patch. I don't think its hard to stick in a link to the v1.3 download site. I plan on having it hosted on the main download sites as well as my tiny site (right now its in SWBF2 General here on GT). I'm hoping a staff member on the download site can give the SWBF1 pack and the v1.3 patch preferred treatment and that we don't have to submit the files a few days in advance?

The v1.3 patch allows SWBF2 to support the custom game modes and eras. Without it, the pack will only show the standard game modes and eras. To install the v1.3 patch, its SWBF2 -> Official v1.1 patch -> UnOfficial v1.3 patch. The v1.3 patch includes the v1.2 patch to make things easier and smaller.

HCTF is gonna be sweet, nice work! But why not a different flag model? The stock one's always gotten on my nerves, it's more of a sideways banner on a stick. But 2 days, wow. This week has been SO much faster than I thought it would be.

Thanks for the help. I registered yesterday so am still learning the ropes. The patch should help out, since my computer crashes on alot of maps, even with the lighting turned down.

Can somebody please tell me how the full details on the 1.3 patch. I have revision 61, will that be enough to play the conversion pack, or will I need more? Please tell me, I am very excited for the convo pack to come out, and I want to know exactly what else I need to play it.

Yeah, I'm a little confused about this 1.3 patch. I think I'll just wait for the release of convo pack and then get the 1.3 patch.

We've been talking about how do to the installation for over an hour. Right now the SWBF1 pack will include everything you need. If you don't want the pack, you will be able to download and install the v1.3 patch without it.

Look at the fine print. Is that your secret map, Mav?

Yes, I think Space Rakata Prime was that map, or he could have me fooled.

He he I thought you might save Endar Spire, and Space Rakata Prime for a final big surprise.
