Changing maps already created [Solved]

Well, the title says it all. Is there anyway to add my custom side to a map already created? Maybe even some of the default BF2 maps?
(Once again... No signature here)
P.S I now detest signatures. You have made me a signature detesting animal.

Just copy your sides in data_yourmodid/sides , and copy them to your new map in sides , and add dc: before the side in the luas .

Like as in a downloaded map off the internet or a default BF2 map? I want to add my new custom side to a default BF2 map. Is this possible?

Copy the lua from the world you want and change the units accordingly.

If you want to add your side to a default BF2 map but as a whole new
era (which has it's advantages over just replacing the Republic side on this map), you can follow this tutorial
here
I myself have never added custom sides to a default map, so I'm not sure how you'd do it without making a new era, though I'm sure it's pretty simple. You can ask, though
