I recently got a new computer which was loaded with Vista (I used to run XP) and have been experiencing major problems with my internet. I am using a Belkin Wireless G Network Adapter to gain access to my house's wireless internet. When I was running XP, ingame pings and general internet speeds were fantastic (Broadband connection) but once I got my new computer and tried going onto the internet everything changed. Internet pages can take over a minute to load and ingame I get around 300+ ping on my own country servers. I have upgraded all my drivers even for the adapter and I am still having no luck. Any ideas?

Seconded. Even though I have wireless set up in my house I only use it when I have to.

Ethernet? I have the same problem and its keeping me off almost half the servers online and I can't host.

plug a hardline right into the router, wireless is king of lag. For instance here I have 7Mb download and when i host a left for dead server on wireless , people cant join , its laggy for more then 2 players and people float around instead of running as soon as I plug a rj45 network cable into the router instead of using wireless everyone gets pings under 80 and i host 4 people all night long with out a single complaint or reboot.
