I thought of making a super bomb. Like a time bomb that would blow off half the map! :wink:

It's not exactly a weapon, but how about Martyrdom?
After your unit dies, he drops a live grenade...

Skyhammer had something similar, for a Rebel Vealot unit: upon death, 50% chance of a suicide blast.

No thanks. If anyone ever makes a global map - like, a spherical map which simulates an entire world - then maybe. That would be actually pretty cool. But it's unfortunate that units fall down no matter what.

Everyone knows Fracture right? Those are some really unconventional weapons. But I doubt they could be put into BF2.

@Everyone thinking of making giant explosions:
Explosion effect does not equal explosion. No matter how big your explosion, if something (prop, terrain, possibly vehicle) gets between your troop and the epicentre of said explosion you won't get hurt.


@Fiodis: Rebel Vealot - on death, 50% chance of turning into calf meat.
It's Zealot. And how it works is the same way droids or vehicles explode - but the explosion does damage.

Orbital Strike Rifle: Each bolt you fire is an Orbital Strike beacon.

Invulnerability Grenades: Once thown, everyone in the grenade's radius will be invincible!

Portable Starfighter: Self-explanatory.

Traitor Gun: Once hit, the target will start shooting its friends. Dunno if it's possible.

It has been released. And it's not exactly a rifle....but I think some quick ODF edits could take care of that. Not so sure it's a good idea, though.

I personally don't think it' be a fun weapon. It'd lag a lot, and then it'd be the heapest thing ever. Maybe it'd be kinda cool if it just fired a single short, much weaker orbital shot with less acuracy, but that's just me. And you'd need to really figure out a way to make it really lag-free.

would something like the slow field from UT3 be possible? (I think almost certainly not, but hey, i don't have much swbft2 modding experience) or a tower spawner = instant snipers nest.

Does it repeat? The only orbital strike guns I've seen made by Dann Boeing has kinda like a single shot, and takes a while to reload.

Portal gun is possible in BF, (if I remember right) but velocity is not conserved between the portals.

How about a vehicle dispenser? Any kind of vehicle, ranging from a speeder bike to an AT-AT, if that's possible.

AT-AT wouldn't be able to be a CP I don't think.

I had been trying to figure out a way to drop multiple detpacks, and I though of this: You have one weapon that is a bunch of mines that do damage when destroyed, and then a "Trigger" mine that, when it goes off, it's explosion detonates the other mines in the area. The trigger mine's damage scale would be set to almost 0 for vehicles, infantry, etc, but then it would have massive damage against mines.

Just a quick idea.

Someone made a mod for BF1 that had detpacks, multiple detpacks too. How it worked is once they were all set, you press Reload and they all blow up.

Might work for BF2 as well.
