Can I make those terrain hiding regions and place them?
Am I able to make and place those purple outlined regions seen on things like tunnels that hide the terrain in them? If so how?

They are referred to as terrain cutters. The models that have them by default were added when they were created in their modeling applications. However you can find separate terrain cutter objects in the assets section of Gametoast if you don't want to fiddle with editing the models the long and hard way.

Since we're talking about this, I have an idea and would appreciate some feedback from experienced modders... would it be possible to kitbash terrain cutters from models to other models? The same way you can take backpacks, heads, and stuff from troops and put them on other troops.

Don`t know if I count as "Experienced", but I don`t even know how to add backpacks and stuff onto other units but I suppose if that can be done then why not add terrain cutters to other models? It`s probably done through the msh file, models with terrain cutters have something relating to them in their msh files don`t they?AnthonyBF2 wrote:Since we're talking about this, I have an idea and would appreciate some feedback from experienced modders... would it be possible to kitbash terrain cutters from models to other models? It's worth pointing out that using too many terrain cutters will result in an unstable map. http://www.gametoast.com/viewtopic.php?p=512552#p512552
