Hey, so I've been trying to install Win7 this past week and each time I go to install it give an error saying "Win7 can't find certain files and the process can't continue" or something like that. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've downloaded Win7 like 5 times and it still doesn't work.

Yes, I downloaded it legally. I downloaded it from a site from Digital River.

Well, now my dad did try to install it but the installation took up 15GB of our hard drive and the worst part is that we don't even know where to look to remove the files.

so it copied the files to the harddrive and it did not install?
control panel => search for "folder options" => under "view" go to "hidden files and folders" click "show hidden files and folders".
the folder with all the data is on the main drive (called Windows_Q i think) . The only thing is..
a) may not let you remove
b) may not see the folder
c) may not let you install afterwords.

Ya, the "Windows_Q" is not appearing in the hidden files. Got any other ideas???
EDIT:
There is a file called "Windows" on the main drive but not Windows Q.

Do I just delete the entire Temp folder or just those two files?
EDIT:
I could not find those two files you mentioned so I guess I'll just delete the Temp folder.

remove temp, not recommended.
open the folders and see if you find a .cab or .dll files in them

go to: C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log and post it.
if $WINDOWS.~BT is there..
