I have made R2D2 flyable and with an Xwing cannon. Just about any object can be made flyable and given at least one weapon. It can also carry passengers, but in order for them to have viewports, or aimers, the mesh needs harpoints to attach them to.

Ha , very cool Steve, any screencaps? Yeah I would love to play a mod where all the vehicles are things that shouldnt fly, lol. Barrels, trees and such, what a battle that would be.

Yes, I'm posting them on my website (under construction and one shot is already there) as well as my mod. Try it and see what you think. Any suggestions would be appreciated. That is a picture of the Alliance command speeder I made. it is a mobile command post to replace the Hovernaught until it is fixed. It is a seperate entity so you can have combat speeders as well as this Command Speeder.

well i can make what i've got so far available, but i stopped working on it because I couldn't get the hard points for laser positions to work... i'll post a link when I get it packaged up.

IM down with a bizzarro map. make things like huts from endor into vehicles, crates and even the mist from hoth in the caves, see if those props can be made to ride, it would be hilarious in a huge battle to see a handful of huts coming at you. Guns blazing!!

As the challenge 1 winner , I guess I get to choose the next challenge:
GT CHALLENGE 2:
============
With the Clone Wars cartoon starting again next week, the challenge is to create a texture for any unit (and any era) so that it looks like the cartoon version. I suggest we run this challenge for 2 weeks, so that we can get another one in before Revenge Of The Sith is released.
Tip: if you have photoshop or an app that can use photoshop plugins, the cutout and posterize filters will help you make base textures from the exisitng skins.

although iv been able to sort of stay in the desert skiff,
i cant do this yet but, SOMEONE look in the skiff files, find what allows you to stay in it, and take those lines and place them in the gunship ::dancing smiley::
