Weird CTD
So my map plays fine on it's own but after it's done and I go to play another map whether it's the same map or one of the shipped maps the game always CTD's this is in both the bf2debug and the game as well and nothing shows up in the error log any ideas?

Re: Weird CTD
I think the theitfactor has this problem with the Pwnfest. I don't think he found a fix.
My only guess would be (for him) that he was using a ton of memory for his map (due to all the content that is loaded in it). With some sort of memory corruption, another reload may prove fatal.

Re: Weird CTD
is there a way say by lowering the amount of memory used to prevent the crash?

Are you doing anything funky with core.lvl, and do what mods are installed?

Re: Weird CTD
Sometimes I get a CTD when the Convo Pack Addon Folder is in my Addon Folder.
If you have the Convo Pack installed on your Pc try removing it out of your Addon Folder.
That helped for me.

Please don't blame your problems on the Conversion Pack. This is irresponsible. The only way you can have problems that make your map crash that are related to any non-sides-mod is going to be by having too many mission scripts.FOOLIS wrote:Sometimes I get a CTD when the Convo Pack Addon Folder is in my Addon Folder.

Re: Weird CTD
I´m NOT REALLY balming the Convo Pack.
But it´s the truth.
My map gave me a CTD. Then I put out the Convo Pack and my map worked again.
I´m not tellings lies or want to blame anyone or anything if you think that....
I just want to help him to solve his problems and this helped for me, so maybe it works for him, too.

Well, technically, that's exactly what you're doing. I'm not implying ill-will, but you are saying that it's the Conversion Pack's fault, when the only error it can cause is having too many missions - which can be remedied by removing anything from the addon folder.FOOLIS wrote:I´m NOT REALLY balming the Convo Pack.
Regardless, it can't cause the error Yankfan's mentioning, since his map plays fine, it just doesn't move to a new custom map after running it.
