My problem isn't solved yet, so please don't ignore that, but I have another question, not quite so pressing.
How could I make a mode that would be stable online?

Re: Online mode
Erm most modes are stable online if you eliminate as many errors as possible and don't have too many units and vehiclesMaster Fionwë wrote:My problem isn't solved yet, so please don't ignore that, but I have another question, not quite so pressing.

Okay, well then, that's not an issue. I've already done that for assault, so that should be pretty stable. Thanks.

@ Master Fionwë -- I've never known any map to be stable online with the amount of units and vehicles that you have. The most I've ever seen work is around 700/700 reinforcements, 100/100 units in-play, and about 8-10 vehicles. Even something like that eats up so much bandwidth that only 2-3 players can play together without lag or even a fatal crash.

RE: Re: Online mode
Yeah, which really sucks. So if that's the case, then what I'll do is decrease the ai to about thirty per team, five teams and have only 6 vehicles. One of each kind that are currently in the map. That should decrease any lag that map could experience in muti. Thanks for that info, Teancum.

1. if i wanted to do a large map, with say 20-30 vehicles and 100/100 units in play (or more), would that be too much for singleplayer?Teancum wrote:I've never known any map to be stable online with the amount of units and vehicles that you have. 2. I'm assuming you're not including space maps?Teancum wrote:and about 8-10 vehicles.
