I'm not quite sure, but you may need to recreate the .MSH without the backpack.

You would need to do that in XSI and go through a painful process of getting him ingame as a player model.

Noncense. Use hex editor to apply transparency and texture the backpack transparent. How to hex transparency is explained in the FAQ ;)

Nay, that works for capes, kamas and other stuff that acts like cloth but not for backpacks, unless the backpack is an addon msh. Redoing the model or hex-editing is the only way.

It's all one MODL chunk with that model. Did you add an alpha channel to the backpack texture, and set it to all black?

i hex-edited replacing the 8 places next to ATRB of 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 to 04 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 and also paint of all black the backpack's texture but don't work, this appear in the game in black colour

The alpha channel of the texture needs to be black, not the main part of the texture itself.

Make sure you download the tutorial, it's much easier to read that way.

In GIMP 2.4, the option to compose is now in Colors -> Components -> Decompose. Aside from that, everything works the same as before.
