No, but the the ability to play the whole Halo series, get CoD stuff 1st, better multiplayer than any other console, and Kinect make it a deal.

Starting finish up the achievements. If they came to hear me beg is giving me grief. I'm sure the fall is fatal, I'm just not getting to the elite to assassinate him.

Don't worry after about 3 hours of attempts you'll get it, it just takes a combo of luck and determination.

I've attempted it 50+ times and still haven't got the achievement.

Things to remember:

- If you sprint all the way down, you will not get it. For some reason, Sprint reduces the amount of fall damage you take.
- The Elite's height factors into the fall damage, too. Even if you know you would die if you jumped off and landed at that spot, sometimes the difference of 8 feet is enough to save you.
- Wait for the Elite to move before you jump. He'll stay in the same place for about 5-10 seconds and really only has about 3-4 locations he moves to. Line the jump up first and jump while he's about halfway to his destination.
- Let go of Sprint when you're sure that you will have enough speed to get to the Elite. Sprint is really just a Jetpack in this situation. (Forward Momentum. Wheeeeeee.... *static*)
- Make sure you hold the melee button at the right time. Many attempts end with you falling too fast and not being ready to press it.

Also try to be right on top of the Elite when you press B, looking nearly straight down.

Yep, been doing all that. I've watched several YouTube tutorials on the best way to do it, and I usually get the assassination - so I figure at this point I'm not even going to bother.

Oh... Is this an achievement you get at the section in the campaign where you jump off a small cliff onto an elite and a grunt?

Yeah... after 14 assassinations and countless ninja beatdowns I just decided to forget it.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. Any more I don't even go for gamerscore unless it comes fairly easy.

Mind if I ask what achievement/challenge we're talking about?

Ok, I don't think I know that one but whatever. :)

Anyway, I have a question for all of you Forge World people. I've tried creating a few maps in the past but it seems whenever I try to play them with friends I always spawn on another part on the Forge World that's not where my map is located. I set up my initial/respawn positions, but I still seem to always to spawn on like the other end of the map.

Anyone know how to fix this?

1. Make sure the initial spawns in the coliseum have been deleted. There are three.
2. Are you starting the game in another section of the map, or are you respawning there? If it's only one of these, then investigate if there are any spawns left over. Check in Basic Editing, as even objects marked with a Specific Gametype will spawn there regardless.
3. If it's a team gametype, the initial spawns must match the team's color. Unlike Halo 3, Defender spawns will no longer just assign themselves to a random team, they must be red for red, pink for pink. Also, it helps to go into advanced settings and make all colored initial spawns set to "Team_only" and all colorless initial spawns to "FFA_only," just so you don't end up with the enemy team right in the same base.
4. It's also possible there are simply not enough respawn points. If you're playing in a rather large game 8 respawn points are not going to cut it, and the game doesn't know where to put a player. 16-32 should be good for 8 player Free-for-All, but you should have at least 32-56 for team games.

Also, even though it isn't required, set up team-based respawn areas around your respawn points. If the map's symmetrical, it's easy as you can just make it go up to the middle, but if it isn't, make numerous areas around the clusters of respawn points. Easier and more professional than making every respawn point a team color.

Ok, thanks. I'll be sure to check/do that the next time I'm the Forge World.

Just to let you guys know, there's a weekly challenge this week for getting 16 daily challenges.

Why am I bringing it up? This challenge will net you 16000 credits. If you're stuck at Warrant Officer, that will boost you half a grade (fourth for grade 3 to captain), and all the credits from the challenges will help as well. Definitely try to get this one guys, it will really help you in the long run.

Yeah, I saw it when I logged on earlier. Hopefully I'll get it cuz I didn't get last week's challenge. But 16000 cR? That's a ton, plus the extra with the daily challenges. I will get to Lt. Colonel in no time!

Granted this week is Thanksgiving and I'll be gone/busy Thursday-Saturday, hopefully I'll get 'em all done by then.

I've so far only got 2/16. Today's Pass the Rock challenge is harder than it looks. I've only gotten 6 assists today and I need 14 more. I don't think I'm gonna get it. :(

If there's another assist challenge, go into Team Snipers. If you miss the head but hit the body, stop firing, somebody will usually finish the kill for you and you'll get an assist.
