Announcement: Regarding Modding Questions
Posted: Sat Mar 18, 2006 12:18 pm
Due to the huge influx of members and questions, the staff (as well as helpful members) are having a difficult time keeping up with all of the answers needed for everyone's questions. Therefore:
1) BEFORE you create a new topic, be sure to check the BF2 Modding FAQ/Everything You Need sticky to make sure it has not already been discussed.
2) Check the documentation that came with the tools for your answers first.
3) MAKE YOUR TOPIC CLEAR! Never post "I've got a problem". Post things like "My jedi crashes BF2" or "Vehcile spawns not working".
4) If you find an answer to your problem or someone posts an answer for you, please edit the first post and add *SOLVED* to the topic title. That helps everyone that's looking for an answer know which threads to find the answers in. It also helps everyone spend more time solving other threads.
5) Please don't create "My topic of problems" or things like that. I know it creates less clutter, but it's much easier to find answers when we create separate topics for each problem.
If, by chance you post a topic that is easily answered in the BF2 Modding FAQ or in the docuementation that came with the mod tools, you will recieve a reply saying to check the FAQ and the Documentation. The topic will then be locked by an administrator. Nobody will be in trouble, we just want folks to make sure they look at the docs and FAQ first before anything else.
If your topic gets locked and you still have a question that you can't find the answer for, please post your topic again making sure you let everyone know that you were directed to the docs or the FAQ but did not find anything.
And as always, thank you for shopping at your friendly neighborhood Gametoast!
